No tip policy means you put your things away, which is not hard since everything is disposable. Buffet style with small area and the tables and chair setup is not great when crowded. Luckily, it wasn’t busy today…and going for the “hot pot” or instant ramen self serve makes more options when eating here. Otherwise, you would have hot veggies, shaved ice. Beverages, and soup mainly. Biggest plus is obviously that vegetarian can eat safely without worries.

Sweet Veggie is the epitome of not judging a book by its cover — kind of a run-down, isolated environment but they are serving up the most home-cooked, vegetarian dishes. Every time I come, I am surprised by the buffet variety, from thin rice noodles to herbal soups to pan-fried radish cakes, and even a shaved ice station. Also, the place is always so clean and quiet, even if the few tables are full. Love this hidden gem and will always be back!

No good variety, I went to the sweet veggie El Monte location before they closed and that one is more of a buffet style. This one they have very little options and half of the food isn’t even cooked by them. There’s only about 10 bins of food cooked by them and then the rest is an instant noodle section with not much variety. One of the workers keeps walking around staring at what people are doing and asked what I was doing by putting veggies before my instant noodles in a bowl. It felt like she was constantly breathing down our necks watching what everyone was doing. It is extremely cramped and not very wheelchair friendly. Also the plates, cups, utensils, and bowls are paper, feels like a low effort restaurant. Nothing like El Monte location and not worth the drive. I would not recommend for family gatherings either as I would for the El Monte location

Clean and bright, with lots of vegetarian and vegan food. There is a buffet with a hot bar, cold bar, drink bar, and desert options. One flat payment up front for all you can eat, which at this time is only $13.99 for an adult (no tip!)
Whether you’re a vegetarian or vegan this place is an amazing value; it also breaks the stereotype some small Asian restaurants in this region feeling a bit run-down or dirty. This place has an A health rating and it’s obvious the minute you walk in.
Has a great selection of prepackaged foods to take home too.
Highly recommend for the vegetarian, vegan, and budget conscious!

Crowded during weekend dinner, waited for an hour arrived at 6:30
Really small inside not much seats( like 6-8 tables) but have outdoor seatings
Food choices not a lot but enough, they also refill with different one
Also have free drinks, shaved ice , soups dessert.
With the deals, its really worth it.
All the vegetarian foods are good imo
But the line i dont know if its worth it
My friend said the other location is bigger and have more chocies.

Love their food!
It’s s small little place, not fancy but clean. The staff are very polite, not a terrible wait for a Friday. All vegetable dishes. Drink is included with our dinner. We will go back!

Really good vegetarian taiwanese food. It’s an all you can eat buffet in a sort of cafeteria style atmosphere? You can sit next to other strangers and everyone is getting up moving around and bumping into one another. Very small area, but very cozy at the same time. They change out the dishes every few minutes when they run out. They had things from noodles to taro and other potatoes, lots of veggies, soups, rice. They also had a ramen/hotpot station and a little shaved ice machine with some desserts like boba and other jellies and milk tea. Very tasty and good service 🙂 the cashier lady was very kind in explaining everything to us since it was our first time.

There’s a surprisingly good vegetarian buffet for under $20. Also find some Taiwanese groceries here also. A hole in the wall place, don’t expect a whole lot. Enjoy the food!
