Worst Wendy’s in Lake County. Food always has an issue food was cold cheese not melted. Has to get fresh fries immediately and my meal was just disappointing all the way thru.

Wendy’s provides quality fast food burgers. The taste is going to be better than McDonald’s and Burger King, no doubt about that. I had the Pretzel Baconator, which is a bacon double cheeseburger with a pretzel bun. It was very good and the pretzel bun definitely was a plus. I would say that the double patties were a bit much and a single is probably a better balance of flavors. Additionally, I got the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger, which was a crazy burger. Double patties, some roasted corn, an assortment of other nacho toppings, and cheese on the bun. In my opinion, the flavors did not all pop and some of the toppings just felt like a waste of space. This could again be because of the double patties instead of single, but I recommend just going with a regular Baconator and you will always be satisfied. If you go in the morning, get the Breakfast Baconator. Wendy’s breakfast is the best fast food breakfast I’ve ever had and the Breakfast Baconator is the best fast food breakfast item of them all. Overall, Wendy’s is consistent quality and better than most fast food restaurants!

This location used to be a Rockstar. But somewhere around end of 2024 it all went downhill. Not sure if it was sold, but staff that had been there for years are all gone. New staff can’t get orders right and the food is now terrible.
This location has gone from one of the best to one of the worst in both service and food.
Edit – just looked it up and yes, the whole strip mall including the Wendy’s was sold in October 2024, right about the time this location went down the toilet drain. Another good example of investors ruining everthing they touch.

Straight up unsafe during the pandemic.
Visited the drive thru on Saturday: saw 3 employees with no gloves and had a very long hair in my food (my spouse is bald and I have very short hair). Contacted corporate and the district manager called me 2 days later. His response? Sorry I’ve been on vacation I’ll make sure to get out there this week and talk to the manager. The manager wasn’t working on Saturday so that’s probably why it happened. Feel free to come back for a refund or some coupons.
Avoid at all costs if you’re trying to stay safe this summer. I’d hate to see this location’s food safety report, at least on days the boss isn’t there to make sure they’re being compliant.

First time inside this newly remodeled location, usually go thru drive thru. Was impressed, even has a cozy electric fireplace in the dinning area and seating is arranged to meet with small groups, family or can bring a laptop and sit by yourself to work while enjoying a cup of coffee or a quick meal, snack.

The food quality at this location is consistently poor, and every drive-thru employee I’ve encountered has shown little to no customer service skills – unfriendly, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. Not even a greeting. It’s clear they want customers gone as quickly as possible.

Manager,if you’re reading this. Inform the drive through workers that it’s required that you give receipts. How many times do I need to ask and I get “you didn’t ask for one, or I didn’t hear you.” look it up. Illinois requires that you give receipt. Plus what if my order is bad! What’s the first thing Wendy’s is going to say? Where’s your receipt?
