Chef Christian Ives started in January and we were anxious to try the new menu and specials. The food and service were excellent. The shrimp tacos, and the clam chowder were the best we have ever had. The red pepper dip appetizer with walnuts was delicious, and the bread pudding with ice cream and caramel sauce melted in your mouth. This could be the best food in the 1000 Islands and it is definitely worth the trip to Cape Vincent….even in the winter!

I had the Fisherman’s Catch platter. It was possibly the best fried fish dinner I’ve had. Combination of walleye & perch, was cooked perfectly. A lot of restaurants they don’t give enough tarter or cocktail sauce, but not here. Not that the fish needed much. The only downside is I live over 1,000 miles away.

Parking lot was very icy. Needed to be sanded. Everything else was topnotch. 4 of us all enjoyed our meal, drinks, and freshly made desserts. The waitress was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was reasonably quiet though the tables and booths were full. It was very clean and dishes were removed right away. Food arrived in a reasonable fashion , fresh and entres were hot and nice portions. I would highly recommend Channel Marker 243 to my friends. Next time I’ll try to remember to take photos

The place was nice and small. Parking lot was crowded so we parked along the street.
Mac and cheese bites were good. The sauce that comes with it is .
I personally had the jack daniels pork chop… and o.m.g. this thing was so freaking juicy. It was fireworks in my mouth. Heated the leftovers up in the microwave, still juicy. Just FANTASTIC.

Ordered a pizza it was ok but not great. Little weird tasting, had a lot of sauce on it. Not very many pepperoni. I counted 10 so one piece per slice. I love pizza but will probably not order this again. The other person ordered a fish meal. They said it was good. Will go back but have to try something else. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was nice.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. The only issue we had was with a single meal, and it wasn’t a major issue, but prevents a 5 star. Ordered a ribeye medium rare and it came out a bit too done. Could be an issue with the thickness of the steaks, they were quite thin, but the edges were charred and it tended toward medium well on the edges. Everything else we had was extremely delicious. The beers are ok, not the best, but ok. They lack a depth that I’m used to, even in the darker oatmeal stout. Would definitely try again.

Leha, the server was awesome! She was so helpful in recommending items and quite personable too!
Food was on point with no room for improvement. We are hooked and coming back! Our new favorite place!

I had the French Onion sandwich, way over cooked, sis had prime rib, said it was good, ma had beer battered haddock said it was soggy, sis had Cuban, said it was bland. We give it 1 star because waitress never came back too see how food was, she also never came back with our change. It was not that packed, so not sure why she kept our money, and to top it off way too many flies in the restaurant.

This place is awesome! It was my first trip to Cape Vincent (I’m from Pittsburgh), and the small town is beautiful…but I was looking for a little more fun lol. We found that at Channel Marker! The bartenders Emily and Jamie were absolutely the best part of my visit! We were the last ones to leave the bar (really late), and they never complained about us keeping them there that late! They were so much fun, and truly appear to love their jobs! We got there after the kitchen closed, and they actually dug up some fries for us, as we were really hungry (thanks Emmy)! We went back the next day for dinner after a long day of fishing and the place was super busy, but Emily and Jamie were still super attentive and treated us as though they had known us for years; and the food was great as well! This is the type of place that small towns need! I can’t wait to get back to Cape Vincent!
