My husband and I went back to try Togyushi’s premium omakase experience after attending their grand opening, and it was absolutely worth it! The entire meal was thoughtfully curated and each course beautifully presented with top quality Zao Wagyu and incredibly fresh ingredients.

I really like the design and atmosphere of this place. Definitely one of the best wagyu omakase spots in Midtown. Everything just melts in your mouth! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true fine dining experience in NYC!

I had the premium omakase at Togyushi and overall really enjoyed the experience. The food was genuinely excellent — the Yaki Shabu was a standout, and the wagyu was incredibly tasty. I also appreciated the creativity of the menu, especially the dishes that combined fish and wagyu, which added a unique touch to the progression.

The ambiance was pleasant, though one thing that felt slightly out of place was the music selection. It was a bit too rhythmic for the style of the restaurant, though thankfully not loud enough to be distracting. Another small downside was the limited selection of wine by the glass.

Despite those minor issues, I would still recommend Togyushi, especially for the quality of the food and the overall experience. A solid 4-star spot.

My boyfriend and I tried Togyushi’s premium omakase for the first time the other day and it did NOT disappoint. The rare Zao Wagyu was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth perfection, and the Chef’s courses complemented each other so beautifully! The cocktails made by bartender Charlie were also amazing too, the vibe with the Japanese vinyl was so elegant and peaceful. We will be back again soon to try the Bistro à la carte menu, thank you Togyushi!!

When I first walked into this restaurant, I was first of all captivated by the ambiance, the decor, and how thoughtfully everything flowed! from the table arrangements to the overall atmosphere & it only got better with the wagyu omakase experience. The chefs were v attentive, not only in how they handled the food but also in how they explained the craft, the history, and the different cuts of wagyu. Everything was executed with care and precision.
So…. Go book a table today! treat yourself and your loved ones! Don’t just take my word for it…see it for yourself. Cheers!

Came here for the premium omakase. The food was good, some of the dishes stood out while others were just ok. I do feel that the amount of food was too small. First we got the egg with wagyu consume, which was very tasty. The owan, which was the wagyu with scallop in a miso broth was amazing. The yaki-shabu was also very good. One of the 3 cuts of the zao was excellent, it was the fermented one. The rest of the food was ok, but not amaaaazing. The cheesecake at the end was also good. Service was lovely.

This restaurant has become one of my top recommendations in New York City.
If you love Wagyu, this is a must-visit.

They serve Zao Wagyu, a rare and incredibly flavorful beef you can only taste here in New York. It was so delicious that I was truly speechless.

All the dishes are created by Executive Chef Ken, who masterfully blends traditional Japanese techniques with a refined modern touch.

You can enjoy a course menu, à la carte dishes, or drinks at the bar—each area offers a unique experience that makes you want to come back again and again.

The drinks are also creative and perfectly complement the food.

Everything was perfect — I can’t recommend it enough!

We had the autumn omakase and it was absolutely puzzling how a restaurant could charge so much for a meal executed so poorly.

It seemed like they did have quality ingredients, but pretty much not one course was impressive or tasty. Most of the time it was under-seasoned, and severely lacked the umami that you’d expect from any wagyu preparation. The nail in the coffin was the last savory dish: wagyu rice. It tasted like something I’d prepare with some leftover rice and pieces of beef from the fridge as a midnight snack. It was so bad I didn’t even take a photo.

The trio of wagyu preparations was also underwhelming. The first one was way too fatty. The second was way too chewy. The last one was not bad, but by then I was losing my appetite.

They also had this really weird showmanship thing going on where they’d show you the ingredients like “omg look at these amazing huge truffles”. But that only heightened the disappointment from the sheer lack of flavor in the dishes.

The service was poor. You could tell the servers weren’t trained well. I accidentally cracked the egg shell and its contents spilled over, and not one server came to help me clean. I had to request it and even then the server only half-heartedly helped. My tea cup had a hair stuck underneath and when I pointed it out, I didn’t get an apology or any acknowledgement of the mistake. Just silence.

The ambiance was nice, but they had this grill going on with hay burning underneath it, and soot was flying all over the place, landing around our plates.

It felt like a tourist trap. Maybe it was. It was almost comical how ridiculously bad the experience was. Never again.

Beautiful and tasty cocktails. Wagyu fried cutlet was super soft. Burger is melting in your mouth as soon as you take a bite. The bartender Charlie was friendly and made amazing cocktails. Amazing overall!

Wife and I tried their Omakase tasting menu. The food is exceptional and each course has its unique flavor profile. I enjoyed how they introduced each dish and the conversations we’ve had with the workers there as they make you feel welcomed. Give this place a try!

I’m not the type to post reviews but my experience here was too amazing to keep silent. I came here with my 2 close friends to wind down after a long week. The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting, which allowed us to settle down comfortably and enjoy the amazing food that was prepared. Our server and bartender were amazing, kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a nice meal and relax after a long week.
