Hey babe, just had the coolest experience while waiting for our brunch spot at Ruby Sunshine in South End. This trendy barcade a few doors down totally caught my eye with its amazing lights and wild outdoor holiday decor. We showed up around 11am on a Saturday, so we basically owned the place. They’ve got a bowling alley, tons of arcade games, brews on tap that you pour yourself, and a huge dance floor that’s begging for a night out. The best part? Our bartender was a total rockstar—super quick, knew all the specials off the top of her head, and seriously nailed that Green Tea Shot. I’m pretty sure this place goes absolutely CRAZY at night. Can’t wait to come back and see my girl again—she was working on 12/6 at 12:20pm (pic below)! Definitely going to make a night of it soon!

Very well decorated and fun place to have an event at. They have lots of games you can play, plenty of sitting and a nice bar area. The food and ambiance were very nice. We parked on the street using a metered parking but there is a paid parking lot in the back.

I attended my son’s (Ian Maxwell) wrestling match with Ase’ Wrestling. I thoroughly enjoyed the event. I love the venue. I think my grandson would like the arcade.

For my sister’s 21st birthday, we visited Slingshot for their “Gather & Groove” event. The dance floor was very spacious, and the DJs were great! High energy and fun from the start.
My main complaint was the lack of customer service early in the night. Multiple stalls in the women’s restroom were out of toilet paper, so I tried to find a staff member for assistance. I avoided the main bar since the bartenders were clearly very busy. There was also no one at the front desk when I checked, and after waiting for a while with no luck, I went to one of the mini bars to ask for help.
The highlight of the night, service-wise, was Erin. She went out of her way to track down a manager to resolve the issue and was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. Honestly, I wish I had ordered all of my drinks from her.
One thing I found confusing was that drink tabs automatically included a 20% gratuity. When it came time to tip, the screen only offered “+3%, +5%, or +7%” options, which wasn’t clearly explained. I think that should be more transparent for customers. That said, Erin’s exceptional service made it easy for me to choose the additional +7% tip.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience. My sister and our friend both had a great time, and we danced nonstop even before the crowd fully arrived. The DJs were fantastic, so it was surprising that more people didn’t take advantage of the dance floor!

Honestly this was a dope lil spot! Top Chef service, my food was delicious, my friends food was delicious! Even the drinks were great*. Plus the bar opens up to the outside- at the end of it!! Pretty Slick! And outside in the back is a small, cozy sitting area for socializing! Which I also loved! The waitress was super sweet made sure we were taken care of w all the fixings! Overall Awesome Spot! I will be returning! Tnx T

Phenomenal service, everybody that works there was really sweet and nice and kind. Got an $80 fine for not paying to park and I think that’s just ridiculous. Didn’t even know I had to pay to park 5 feet away from the building. I’ll admit that’s on me for not paying more attention but paying to park in the parking lot of the business that you’re walking into just seems ridiculous to me. Especially since it’s a bar. So please for the love of God don’t forget that you have to pay to park otherwise you’ll be paying $80 for being in their parking lot for three hours.

Slingshot Social Game Club in Charlotte was definitely a vibe for the weekend! The bowling and arcade games were super fun — perfect for kicking back on days night. The drinks were decent, nothing too crazy, but they got the job done.
Once midnight hit, that place turned all the way up! It got packed fast, but the DJ was good, had the whole crowd rocking and dancing all night.
Overall, a fun spot if you’re looking for a mix of games, drinks, and nightlife in one spot. I’d go back for sure!

The space is nice but other than the vibe it didn’t offer much of note. The drinks weren’t great but service was friendly. The games were a mess, pretty much all of them were either broken in some way, didn’t work altogether, or were gross/sticky from what I assume (and hope) are drink spills. Much more care needs to be put into the arcade aspect of this place, at least mark off games that don’t work and have someone go through and wipe these things down regularly.

Gotta say this place is all about love! It started with management. My family and I are visiting from the West Coast and turns out they have someone in their management also from where we are! He did not disappoint! We were taken care of with food, gaming, drinks and he made sure all the right games were on for us! Definitely felt that West Coast love♥️. I look forward to coming back hopefully that young man is still there or onto something better! Thank you guys for a fun Saturday!

Sunday night out here was a little chilled, not too crowded, but it looks like it will be really packed on a Friday and Saturday night. I definitely liked it more on a Sunday, less crowded. Different games and fun stuff to do as well.
