As a stay at home mother of three younger children, I’m always looking for new things for us to go do outside of the house that won’t break the bank; and if you’re anything like me, Peculiar Play Cafe is just the right place for you! Whether you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, (or none) this cafe is sure to be a breath of fresh air for you with their variety of lunch/breakfast foods that are handcrafted and delicious, and their unique spin on coffees, teas, and refreshers you just won’t see anywhere else. The staff were all super friendly and even took suggestions from me when they didn’t have something very specific I normally get. All around, amazing service + you can tell they have a heart for each of their customers, and the children! What an amazing atmosphere.
The play activities for my 6, 5 and 3 year olds were off the charts! The whole concept is that as long as you order some sort of foods/drink from the menu, kids can play with no additional charge. So genius and affordable!! Especially when most indoor places charge you by each kid participating, which becomes costly when you have three.
My family and I will definitely be coming back!

An absolute gem for Fort Myers families!! This place is owned by a really sweet family who saw the need for affordable indoor play places with an assortment of healthy food. There’s no cover charge to get in and the food and drinks are very reasonably priced. I’m instantly obsessed and plan to become a regular, making this the go to spot to meet friends with kids or come hang and get work done.

The food and drinks were all beautiful and delicious. There’s a wide variety to choose from ranging from smoothies, to breakfasts, sandwiches, wraps, salads, lattes (including the delicious and beautiful matcha latte I had), special treats (some of which are decently healthy like chickpea cookie dough balls), fresh fruit, and more. Plenty of gluten free and dairy free options and lots of menu customizations.

So great to support such an amazing LOCAL & FAMILY owned place! Also, look how cute it is. And the owners and employees were all incredibly sweet.

Also, my daughter literally played for hours and didn’t want to leave. I had such a refreshing break and got so much work done while I continuously ordered off their amazing menu. 10/10 would recommend

Peculiar Play Cafe is the space every parent didn’t know they needed until they visit! It’s tucked in a little shopping Plaza with plenty of parking which is a plus! Right outside the doors, there is designated stroller parking outlined with different color chalk (so thoughtful) and a few tables for outdoor seating.

The magic begins the moment you step inside.

You’re instantly greeted by a friendly face and there is so much to see.

The attention to detail at PPC is outstanding – from the play space, how it’s designed to accommodate different ages and stages; the extra steps they take for cleanliness of the play space and in general (5 stars!), their bathroom (impeccable) and the food and drinks are so memorable because not only are they absolutely DELICIOUS, everything is presented in a beautiful way!

I love how easy it is to order, using a QR code with the option to open a tab or pay as you go.

The owners are lovely and you can tell how much love has gone into making this place into something spectacular for families in SWFL to enjoy.

The menu selection is also solid!! They have some pretty healthy options and offer GF/DF options as well. I love how much variety there is and the drinks are soo good, too!

Peculiar Play Cafe has become my favorite spot when I need to work a couple hours while my daughter plays and makes new friends.

They also have great taste in music. Kudos to whoever makes the playlist.

My favorite part is that this cafe is locally owned and operated – which makes it even sweeter to support.

Such an awesome experience. I brought my two daughters (ages 5 and 4) for lunch and a playdate while mom was at work, and it was perfect. The food and coffee were delicious—I had the Italian club with an espresso, and my girls loved their chicken nuggets and freshly squeezed strawberry lemonade.

The food was great, but the play area really sets this place apart. They have a full-size Lite-Brite that brought back so many childhood memories, along with a fun climbing area and a super cool suction ball machine that kept my kids entertained the entire time.

This spot is a dream for working parents—there’s a comfortable area where adults can get some work done while the kids play safely nearby. The husband-and-wife owners were incredibly friendly, and you can feel the heart they’ve put into creating this place.

I’m so glad something like this exists in Southwest Florida. Highly recommend—definitely check it out. You’ll enjoy it

When I tell you, run don’t walk I mean it! This is the most coolest and cutest Play Cafe that I have taken my son ever. I never thought that I would see one around my area and I just love it I’ve been waiting for it ever since they announced that something like this would it be opening. The food is delicious I had a turkey sub with fresh fruits. I was able to enjoy that while watching my son play with their large busy board in the little baby area. They even have a climbing area that looks like a tree that you can climb up it and slide down it. And they have this really cool pit where you put balls on holes and it floats up! It’s better if you see it than hearing it. The owners were so nice, I was able to feel secure with my son playing, and it was nice and refreshing to see him play with other babies. I would most definitely recommend this place to any moms or parents in general who want to take their little ones to something as fun as this while they relax and eat or get a little bit of work done!

I loved this cafe. Very clean and organized. I was greeted with a smile and an explanation of how everything works. The children’s area and the fact that there were activities at the tables made the time fly by. The food was wonderful. Congratulations! Just be prepared for the post-consumption fees.

Peculiar Play Cafe is the best place for Mom’s and Dad’s groups to meet up at. Not only do the kids get to have a great time but so will the adults. You get to hang out with friends or enjoy a minute alone while you get to enjoy a good meal/drink without being interrupted. The staff is super friendly. You will love it!

Delicious food and such a perfect place for our family to relax and connect.

The atmosphere is amazing, all the decor is beautiful, and by beautiful I mean absolutely gorgeous! The play area is well thought out and really lets little imaginations blossom. The bathroom was very clean and had a nice changing area. The little baby space was great to keep our tiniest family member busy and safe from bigger feet.

The food was delicious! Seriously so good. Not just cheap food, but I could tell they really cared and took pride in the food. The family grazing board is an amazing idea and was perfect! Honestly I would go here just for the food, even without my kiddos. And the seasonal peppermint mocha was awesome!

We just stopped by for a visit while we were vacationing in Sanibel but I wish we could pack them in our suitcase and bring Peculiar Play Cafe back to Ohio with us!

Good options for gluten and dairy free too, just an intolerance not an allergy, but I was able to get plenty of food and snacks.

We will definitely come back if we’re in the area again!
