This is my go to taco spot. Their elotes are the best I’ve ever had. Their agua frescas are also amazing, my favorites are the piña and melon. They taste natural – not overly sweet and does not taste like artificial flavors. They fill their tacos with lots of meat. I love coming here and eating, and it’s reasonably priced. Also their napkins are thick and nice as well lol you can tell they care about their customers.

In the Heart of Kensington, MD sits this authentic Mexican taco spot! They serve dessert and to-go beverages which is a treat, too. Esquites on the cob and can’t beat radish and cucumber with lime on the side with any order of tacos. They were jamming to good tunes but mostly order and sit down or take out spot. Most staff were in back of house for prep and service.

Often the food you get doesn’t match the photos in the advertisement. At Tacos Don Perez, it does. Food is freshly made and flavorful. Service is fast and staff are always respectful to all customers. Love, love, love the elotes here but all the options are great.

One of the best taco places in the DMV. The quesabirria is my favorite and, in my opinion, the best in the DMV.
Amazing elote, quesadillas, tostadas as well. The agua fresca is also freshly juiced and pairs perfectly with the food.
Just be advised this IS a food truck and you sit outside! There is plenty of seating on nice picnic tables, but if you plan on going in adverse weather please plan ahead. There is also no bathroom. On the bright side, everything tastes better outside! Maybe that’s the key to their food tasting so good.

Everything is delicious! My favorite is the birria tacos with a side of cantaloupe juice staff is amazing! Recently met Gabe during my last few visits, and he’s been consistently friendly, pleasant, and great to chat with!

This has become one of my favorite lunch spots. Al Pastor is my #1, but most everything I’ve tried has been good – carne asada, chicken, birria, lengua, carnitas. The only one I haven’t liked was the chorizo (too gritty, not a lot of flavor). Overall, highly recommended.

By far the most authentic Mexican style tacos in MD. The quality of their meats is unsurpassed. The staff working are always friendly and give everyone a good experience. I’m excited to know they’re expanding their footprint and opening up more locations.
My recommendation for when you eat at the restaurant/food truck is the Barria Nachos. By far the best thing on their in-person menu. Everything else on the menu is also very good, including the tostada de camaron.

It was my first time at Don Perez on the recommendation of coworkers.
I was a walk-in and did carryout, and it took about 15min to get my order which is not too bad of a wait especially since it was lunch time and I’m sure they are also busy with online orders and such. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant and helpful.
I ordered the Torta with Carne Asada, and it was delicious!! Very flavorful, tasty, fresh, and meat was tender. I will definitely get it again, and I look forward to trying out their other dishes.

Let me just say- this place has the best tacos/ esquites (Cheetos one fireeeee) literally everything. They play some niceeeeeee music and the atmosphere is great!!! Also, Gabe is such a great person to check out with. Always super super nice and inviting!!!!!! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone
