If you’re anywhere near Bear Mountain, do yourself a favor and stop by Bear Mountain Pizza. I went in specifically for an Italian sub — and it did NOT disappoint.
The bread was fresh and perfectly crisp on the outside while soft inside. The meats were layered generously and tasted high quality, not the cheap deli stuff. The balance of provolone, lettuce, tomato, oil, and vinegar was spot on — flavorful without being soggy. Every bite had that classic, authentic Italian deli taste.
The portions were solid, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that relaxed, local pizzeria vibe you want after a long day or hike.
I’ll definitely be back. If you’re craving a legit Italian sub near Bear Mountain, this is the place.

Super chill little pizza place. Everyone was very nice, sat us immediately and the food was soooo good. Definitely recommend it here, we got the penne vodka pizza and chicken parm. We will be back!

The building is delightful and full of character, the food is authentic and excellent, and our order was perfectly punctual and we casually enjoyed it in the dining area while we visited uninterrupted for over an hour! It almost felt like being in Europe. And the lentil soup is absolutely fantastic.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express purchased a pizza and soup. It was very good and the servings were generous. Went back several days later and tried something else and it too was excellent! Service was fast and courteous and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend giving them a visit and get their brick oven pizza. You won’t be disappointed!

Honestly, I didn’t like this place at all. There’s a musty, old smell near the entrance — like walking into a dusty attic. The automated ordering system might seem convenient, but the staff is incredibly slow and disorganized. Not all menu items are actually available, which you only find out after placing your order.
I ordered a Caesar pizza, and it was honestly a joke — just a Margherita with a handful of Caesar salad tossed on top. On top of that, they brought out the pizza before the drinks, and it turned out my drink wasn’t even available. The staff didn’t know how to process a refund, so I was told I’d either lose my money or have to pick something else instead.
This place is a mess. If you’re looking for a quick, smooth experience — or even just basic service — look elsewhere. I definitely won’t be coming back.

was decently good pizza, staff was very friendly. I work in food and it just really bothered me how the guy up front used his bare hands to grab my slices of pizza and right after started touching the phone and went right back to grabbing the pizza. at least use serving paper or gloves!! other than that the atmosphere was great and the food was good

This was my first time here after passing through Old Oak Inn many times. I thought it was a full service restaurant. Much to my surprise, it is a pizza/restaurant. It wasn’t what I was expecting. But since I was there, I decided to grab a bite. We ordered eggplant parm dinner and an eggplant Stromboli. After a short wait, our food was brought to our table. The eggplant parm dinner was ordered with penne pasta, but they gave me spaghetti. Meal tasted OK. I have had much better. Stromboli was decent. One thing that bothered my was the lack of bussing tables. There seemed to be a number of tables left with dirty dishes. As if they did not have enough help to clear it off right after people left. That sort of sends a bad message. Perhaps they need more help but for the amount of customers in there when I went, it was empty. So you kind of have to wonder. Management should be paying attention to the tables and not their cell phones. I don’t think I will be returning to check consistency as I can probably guess what to expect.
