Stopped here for a bite on a long drive back to Anchorage. The menu only has a handful of items – Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and a couple of Filipino dishes. I went with the Adobo, and it was out of this world! The one Woman-In-Charge working the restaurant made my dish to order, and it was clear she made it with love. Every bite of meat was bursting with flavor, and the rice and salad refreshed my palate between these little flavor explosions. After she served me, the WIC went to play on her phone on the other side of the bar with her back turned to me, glancing over her shoulder every so often with a smile while I savored her labor of love. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but this is also Alaska and that’s just the nature of the beast. There is also a very nice backyard with horseshoes to play while you wait for your dinner, or enjoy a drink. Don’t sleep on this spot!

I’ve passed this place a million times over the past 20 years and finally stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, the staff made excellent conversation, the food was quick and delicious, and the drinks (bloody mary) were well made. Overall, everything was great, but pricey and I wish their menu was just a little bigger. We plan to return to see how their steaks are

Comfy lodge – nothing fancy, but super friendly and omfg the food is delicious. They have wifi in the main lodge and fresh coffee every morning I went in. I stayed for a week and had a cheeseburger, prime rib, and lumpia. Ask for LUMPIA. You will not regret it, it’s amazing. Bomb.com. They also serve food all day long. As long as the bar is open, the food can be ordered. This is a HUGE plus because the only other options past 10 is McDonald’s and Taco Bell. They’re legit with the pours and have a well stocked bar. The cabin I’m in has a coffee maker, mini fridge, bathroom with toilet and shower. The bed is full sized with clean crisp sheets and warm blankets. It’s quiet and simple. It is no pets allowed which I am 100% ok with. They’re also very knowledgeable about the area and offered a lot of recommendations about hikes and places to view.

They have indoor and outdoor seating , and you can listen music , eat, drink , play pull tabs.

Came for an early dinner with my family of 5. Food was good. We all had large meals and drinks that were tended to well. A lovely Vietnamese lady helped us with all our needs. She even made a custom drink for me with very little instruction and it turned out great! Her and I had a lovely conversation while my family played horseshoes out back. I feel for her though. She had no help but still seemed to manage-but running the entire time. Deserves a raise for sure!

Way over priced, fir portions. $34 for a seafood sampler?? 2 small pieces of cheap cod, 2 shrimp and some little crispy clams that all came from a prepackaged freezer box…
