We were underwhelmed with our visit. We went to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and it was mentioned after we commented about the special notes in our reservation.
The server spoke quickly so it was hard to keep up throught the evening.
The diver scallops and sashimi sampler were excellent as was the grouper entree. They di accomodate my husband’s onion intolerance by substituting a different risotto.
The sea bass entree was very disappointing. Truly lacked basic seasoning and did not have an explosion of flavor like the grouper.
It was an average experience overall.

My birthday dinner could not have been more perfect . Our waiter Juan repeatedly said he would take care of me for a memorable evening , etc . He was friendly , informative, super great with the pacing of each course , and just a delight . The food was simply outstanding. We each had an order of Diver scallops , shared the caprese salad , and he had grouper and I had Chilean sea bass. Perfectly cooked , tender , delightful light crisp on top. Also Juan provided an amuse bouche of delicious spanikopata . The scallops are to die for , just perfection . Incredibly smooth burrata on the caprese salad . The light delicious sauce on the fish is simply divine . Although we turned down dessert , Juan politely encourage us to enjoy a complimentary birthday dessert so we chose the. Vanilla crème brûlée. Again , outstanding . A beautiful evening g in every aspect.

I had an outstanding dining experience at Caretta on the Gulf. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, with a beautiful view that made the evening feel special. The service was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish was perfectly prepared — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was the ideal place to celebrate and enjoy a memorable night. Highly recommended.

The food was fantastic, HIGHLY recommend the oysters Rockefeller! The Elk was delicious but would have preferred a little less black pepper. Crème brûlée was amazing and my husband said the snapper was one of the best meals he’s ever had. Michelle was our server and she was so attentive and down to earth.

Went here for our anniversary dinner and it was a fantastic! Every drink and course was so pretty and perfectly cooked. We sat outside on the deck with a perfect view of the sunset. If that was enough by itself, our server, Amanda, was exceptional- so kind and helpful as well as knowledgeable and attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

I chose Caretta for my 40th birthday dinner and unfortunately it was a letdown.
Right from the start the vibe felt very odd. We were seated facing a wall, which didn’t feel welcoming or special at all for a celebration. Our server then told us we had to order our appetizer and main course at the same time, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to order a main later. That was very strange and made the experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. Because of that, we ended up only ordering appetizers, which was really disappointing.
Service was slow, and our server honestly didn’t seem like she wanted to be there.
The food was also very underwhelming. The Wagyu carpaccio had almost no seasoning, and when we mentioned it, our server told us we “weren’t eating it correctly,” which felt dismissive. The lobster cargot had zero flavor. The only standout was the shrimp cocktail, which was actually very good.
Overall, I was really upset because I picked this restaurant for a milestone birthday and it just didn’t feel special at all.

We came to have a nice meal and watch the sunset from the balcony. We reserved a table, but they could not accommodate 5 at the tables outside, so we had to sit inside. That actually wasn’t that much of an issue and you will absolutely get a great view of the sunset, but still a bit disappointing.

Nice meal? Absolutely not. Caesar salad was very bland. NY Strip steak was small and not very good. My son got the “Petite Steak” from the kids meal and they really honored the “petite” part. It was basically a meat patty for a slider. My wife’s tenderloin was very roast like and pretty dry. My son’s pizza came out burnt.

At the end of the day we spent $250 for what I would consider $60 quality food.

Service was also not great. Had to ask 3 different servers that we were ready to order. Had to ask for bread 3 times. From the time we sat it was an hour and a half before we got our food. Again, not a huge issue, because we got to enjoy the views of the sunset during that timeframe.

If you want good food and that’s the priority, don’t go here. If you want a really good view of the sunset and don’t care about food quality or cost or service, then this is your place.

Beautiful place for a fantastic dinner.
Our server Amanda was exceptional!
We sat outside for sunset dinner.
The bread is amazing! We had sushi, Ceasar salad and grouper dinners. It was all delicious. This is an upscale restaurant, although we thought the prices were reasonable for portion you received.

Nice restaurant located inside of the Sandpearl Resort. It’s open to people not staying in the resort and has a beautiful view of the beach if you sit on the patio (which is on the second floor), we didn’t have trouble getting a table but I suggest making a reservation on the weekend.

If you drive they provide free valet for up to 3 hours.

The food was pretty good, they brought some complimentary bread and hors d’oeuvres while we waited, the crispy flakey bites were delicious.

I ordered the Gulf Grouper, which was good but the sear was a bit over cooked (in my opinion at least) which I ended up cutting off. The other two people in my party had a salad and the NY strip which they both liked.

Overall we had a very nice dinner, if you looking for an upscale restaurant with a beautiful and quiet view this is a great option.

We love the restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic. Dane, our server was top-notch. The bread was some of the best we ever had. My family has spent many a decade in Alaska ,So we know sea food, the clam chowder was exceptional, in my opinion. All the appetizers were very good. If we just stopped right there, this place would be the best. But the main course, we had salmon, sea bass and grouper. The salmon was pretty good. The sea bass and the grouper in our opinion was kind of bland.
