High reviews so I had to try it!

I had the Spicy Mala Ramen with a side of bang bang shrimp.

I was the only customer in the place, so service was very attentive, but not overly so.

The shrimp came out first – they were crunchy and flavourful. Surprisingly I had 8 on my plate instead of the expected 6 on the menu. I saved 2 to eat later in the meal.

The ramen came out and smelled good. The marinated egg was quite cold but was tasty. The pork belly was very flavourful, and the wood ear was as well. The spice added up throughout the meal – I was sweating – but it was a good sweat. (I did find that bang bang shrimp and the ramen didn’t mix flavours well… don’t eat one with the other. lol)

I’d definitely come back. I felt I got good value and for great tasting food.

I visited Kinoko Ramen on Jan 12, 2026. It was noon, and I was the only dine-in customer. There was no wait time for a table. Water and menu were provided the moment I sat down. I had already looked at the menu online and knew what I wanted: shoyu ramen. The order was served with a spoon, a side plate and a paper towel. There was 1 soft-boiled cut into two halves and ample amounts of scallion, menma and braised pork belly. The latter had a rich flavor, helped in no small part by the pork and chicken broth. Not only that, the broth complimented the rest of the ingredients; the egg was enjoyable. My only (minor) complaint is the portion size of the ramen itself. It was smaller than I would like.

The lady that served me was probably (best guess) the owner. Her service was impeccable. In addition, Kinoko has a pleasing amenity not found in most restaurants: an AC outlet at every table that was by the wall. This was very handy for a heavy user of laptops and phones like myself. Although there was music playing in the background, it wasn’t loud. The server and I were able to hear each other, and I could also hear the voices of others at the bar. The restroom had an interesting decor of newspapers for wallpaper. That was something I didn’t see elsewhere.

If you love good ramen, come to Kinoko Ramen. If you like a quiet place to dine in, come to Kinoko Ramen. Perfect scores in food, service and atmosphere.

My sister and I visited and had the vegetarian and the regular spicy mala ramen. We got an order of veggie gyoza and sides of fried chicken, tofu, and fish cake. Everything was very flavorful. The server was very nice and the food came out very quickly.

This place is amazing! The food amazing the service from Hannah was great. Had a daddy daughters night and we loved this place! One ordered the Fried Gyoza and after I ate one I had to make an order another one. The other daughter ordered fried chicken and that was amazing too! Ramen was perfect! The broth spectacular. Hannah our server was super nice and attentive. We went to a movie and after the girls wanted to go back there for Mochi and it seemed like she was happy to see us again. It was a perfect night!

Clean. Nice staff. Got the Shoyu Ramen. The portion is on the smaller side, but is fair for the price of the dish. Only one thin piece of chashu which was a bit over burnt (fyi I actually like grilled, smoky flavors). But the noodles were springy, cooked perfectly & I enjoyed the variety of toppings. I just didn’t enjoy the flavor of the broth, which is big for me & was served lukewarm. This same broth is used in nearly all of their ramens per the menu. Unless they changed the broth, I probably would not go back!

Their Shoyu ramen is amazing, and the grilled pork belly is a great touch. Our son loved his takoyaki balls, served really hot. Service is excellent and staff are friendly. Ramen comes in a big bowl (the photo doesn’t do justice) and generous in garnishing. Will definitely come back.

It’s been a loooong time since I’ve made a review. But after having a good ramen I decided I must m. So, my family went to visit a friend in Morrisville and decided to eat afterwards. I was craving for ramen and found this restaurant near her place. I would say the food is great. We ordered two different kinds of ramen and a rice bowl. We all love the food! My kids keep asking for the pork and truly enjoyed the ramen soup. The service was great too! The server is very patient considering that we have 3 little kids with us. Definitely family friendly! We went there around 4pm and wasn’t busy at all. I would definite back when I visit the area again.

These folks deserve your business. Serving the best ramen I’ve had in NC at the most modest pricing and friendly service. Literally couldn’t ask for more. The pork buns were also killer. I saw other reviews mentioning there weren’t a lot of patrons, this is still a thing from my experience. If you don’t like crowds, come here before word gets out.

The shio chintan ramen was light and delectable. The flavors were subtle. What really stood out was the meat. The chashu is tender and a little smoky, among the best I’ve had at any ramen restaurant around here. At $13.50 per bowl, it’s more affordable than some of the other ramens I’ve had in the Triangle. It was enough for two meals’ worth for me. Ambiance was nice and the server was not very attentive. I like it enough to come back sometime. Also, the takoyaki is a must-try! The fish flakes added subtle flavors to the creaminess inside the takoyaki.

Went for their soft opening and received 25% off. Btw, it ends around 4/15. No kids menu yet but the hostess made a kid portion from the menu for us. Enjoyed their Miso ramen and the Veggie Ramen – all were made with delicious soup and thin ramen. The pork was tender and had a smokey flavor as if it were prepared on a grill. Also tried their chicken karaage and fried gyoza as appetizers – yummy seasonings and fried to perfection. No fountain drinks yet but they have a selection of canned sodas and Japanese ramune. Nice portion sizes and fair prices. Clean restaurant with nice decor, 4 TVs and wall art.
