We each ordered the crispy chicken sandwich that arrived quickly. The chicken was fresh and delicious! Everything else about our sandwich/meal felt like fast food which we do not prefer to eat. We love our restaurant style french fries, and while these were fresh they definitely have the straight out of a bag feel. As I finished drinking my water, I realized there was something funky waiting for me at the bottom. Thankfully, the mystery substance was on the outside of the cup.
The place was very loud and had a hard time holding a conversation during our meal. It seems to be more appropriate for a group than for a couple. Maybe we should have chosen the outdoor dining option for a quieter experience. The atmosphere and crowd carried a strong Portland, Oregon vibe. We have heard mixed reviews about this place for a couple years and decided to try it out for ourselves. We enjoy trying new places and glad we were able to check this one off the list.
This sandwich was enormous! The bun was super fresh and the sauce was fantastic! Just enough kick to let you know it was there, but not too overwhelming. I cut the overhanging corners off first, and that was a good call. The chicken was lightly breaded and incredibly tender and juicy! The pickles and lettuce added a nice crunch to each delicious bite! The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy, which was nice for dipping in the fry sauce.
Overall, it was a great dining experience. The atmosphere is a bit loud for a long sit and conversation, but it’s very family friendly and the service was excellent!
If you go, there is adequate parking across the street and a generous patio with outdoor fire pits and heater lamps for a fun, summer dining experience.
We had several IPAs. They are all great. Built for Speed is a solid choice. Ripsaw, Oktoberfest Lager, and Onslaught Hazy were all good.
The beef is all from local 4-H farms.
The bread is amazing for the brioche buns.
It is a solid win.
The bartender was nice. I think they need more than one bartender working at a time. She was very busy.
We saw all of the awards they won, so we were excited to try their drinks! The drinks ended up being pretty mediocre.
The atmosphere was really nice. They had a nice covered patio that felt a part of the restaurant with their garage style doors.
If we’re in the area, we might stop by. I don’t think we’ll plan another trip just to come here.
Worthy of trying and hopefully falling for the great staff and menu like I have!
