Finally got around to trying out some grub here. Very cute little casual family spot. Tried the Cheese Fries which were pretty solid and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich also decent. I was hoping the pizza would be fantastic, but unfortunately my slice of sausage was average. The menu is diverse so lots to try.

Garibaldi’s is one of those classic neighborhood spots that reminds you why some places don’t need trends to stay relevant. They’ve been serving Chicago since 1976, and it shows in the consistency. The menu is huge, but everything feels intentional, from the scratch-made New York style pizza (available by the slice or whole pie) to the comforting Italian classics like lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and baked mostaccioli, all served with garlic bread.
The subs & sandwiches deserve their own highlight. Whether it’s Italian beef, Philly cheesesteak, or their highly rated roast beef, they’re stacked, filling, and actually seasoned.
I also loved that this is a true family friendly, fast casual spot. You can grab appetizers like mozzarella sticks or cheese fries, burgers, foot-long hot dogs, and still end on a sweet note with homemade tiramisu or frozen lemonade.
Overall, Garibaldi’s feels like a reliable go-to….the kind of place you grew up eating at and still crave years later.

This was the first time I visited this location. They have other locations, but this one was close and I was in dire need of a quick slice and didn’t want Jet’s. The crust on this pizza is crispy and holds up all of the toppings with ease. The sauce, cheese, and sausage were decent. Added a little parm and crushed red pepper on it this time. I’ll probably go back to try something else on their menu. All in all I had a good experience here. I hope you do too.

Cool decor throughout including an aquarium.
Removing a star because the pizza is just served on a tray with no plate or anything and the pizza slice was kind of lukewarm and id say a chain like Sbarro tastes better.
The seasoned fries were nice and warm though.

we just saw this place and decided to try it. the atmosphere is fantastic, retro decor and music with a couple of arcade machines in the back. food was great, we got the philly cheese and the beef grinder with fries. also got a slice of pizza. the pizza sauce is homamade, and you can definitely tell. we’ll be ordering from them on our next pizza night and will definitely come back for the great service!

Awesome Fantastic 1st time visit this fresh pizza restaurant. Heard from nurse agency where I work at. Ate 1 sample pizza was delicious. Today did Carry out thru online ordering pick up. Texas bbq round pizza, cheese and sausage pizza slices. Staff put all my orders together in same bag. I had 2 receipts.

This past August marked the very first time trying this venue and had a pleasant experience.
We just happened to be in town so I figured why not? At first glance walking in, automatically fell in love with the retro vibe, my old man would definitely love it here.
Really good extensive all-around menu from Italian, Chicago grill grub, pizza and other familiar bites.
Prices remain fair with friendly customer service in a clean classic retro atmosphere. My wife & I enjoyed our food as well as our boys.
We live in Beach Park up in NE Lake County so not sure when we’ll be back in the area but whenever that may be, could go for some Garibaldi’s.
I’m aware that this is a local limited chain with another location in Hoffman Estates. Not sure if they’re both owned by the same person or people but either way I hope for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).

This place has been around forever. Have been going here since I was a kid decades ago. 50’s music themed. Great food from the cheese fries to the steak sandwich to the pizza. Def recommend especially to tourists looking for a cool local place

First timer. It’s really neat & welcoming. First, the staff is super friendly, especially Vinnie. You can tell he loves his job & loves the customers. That’s huge nowadays. When a restaurant cares about their customers, you know they care about the food. Great pizza and the seasoned fries – yummy! Who would of thought pizza & fries together would be good? Check it out, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

This pizza is unidentifiable from the ‘baldis they used to serve. Their pizza was god tier when they were at Town & Country, and it was still damn good when it was at the Golf Rd location, but over the years it got worse and worse. Decided to take a chance on it tonight and it was a colossal disappointment. Bitter sauce. Low quality cheese. I don’t get it. Why change a good thing?
