I don’t usually leave less than five stars but the food was really disappointing. You can’t usually go wrong with chicken tenders and fries (even at a burger place!) but wow… the fries were fine but the chicken was hard and dry and the pieces were smaller than expected.
For $10 I’d expect something a little better even if it was at an airport. I would’ve been a lot happier with a slice of pizza from the shop nearby and it would’ve cost me half as much.
It’s a shame as well because the self-checkout was great and I actually had pretty good service. The food quality just threw everything off completely. Seeing the reviews now, I’m glad I hadn’t gotten a burger as I’d initially wanted. Stick with the fries and the shakes if you do come here.

This is one of 2 Burger 21s at Tampa International Airport. This one lies at Terminal C by gates 38 and 39, and the other is in Terminal A. LATASHA fulfilled my request for sweet potato fries at breakfast, an off menu item this early. It’s a very busy day here. MILDRED politely informed me that she was printing a receipt after she replaced register tape, explaining her actions. She also smiled and was cheerful that she brightened my busy hectic airport morning. Thank you ladies and the busy chef for getting me crispy hot sweet potato fries. There is no seating, so best choice is to sit at a table with charging outles or waiting room chair. They also have a self-ordering kiosk. And an app

Place looked clean and organized, order the Classy burger with sweet potatoes. After waiting for 20 minutes, the 3 orders before mine and my orders got mixed up and a total mess trying to figure out who gets what. After they got it right and just in time before my flight abput to take off, my burger was dry, my fries order looked good, but when I started to eat not only it was cold, it had regular fries on the bottom and topped off with sweet potatoes.

While waiting for my flight in Tampa, Florida, to head back to NYC. I figured I’d try Burger 21, and they had a vegan option. The Impossible Burger was flavorful and filling with the sweet potato fries that were crispy on the outside and soft inside. Only criticism is that the fries could’ve been a little warmer or hotter, I would say. Other than that, this would be a staple for me to eat at the airport when I visit my sister in Tampa.

This place was horrible. A grilled cheese with fries was ordered and it took 20 minutes to receive our order. The employees were not pleasant or friendly. The food was cold, disgusting, and not remotely worth what we paid. They couldn’t even put the sandwich together properly. I would rather starve than eat here.

There was barely any bacon on the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. All you could taste and see was tons of eggs and cheese. You think for Burger 21 they would have at least offered a thicker cut of bacon slices, especially for the $20 price for a combo! The whole sandwich looked like I could have made it at home using hamburger buns from Walmart. Definitely won’t be wasting my money here again when I come to the airport.

This location was definitely not up to their standards. The bun was stale. The bottom of the bun was literally hard. The burger was dry and overcooked. The fries were cold and I ate right next to the restaurant so it was not like I traveled with my meal. The staff was very friendly but if I am going to pay over $15 for a burger then it had better be a good one. I am very disappointed. I thought this location was here to introduce folks not from Tampa Bay about the Burger 21 brand. Definitely an epic fail.
