One of the worst sonics I have ever experienced. Which says a lot because I’ve visited plenty of sonics over the states. You put in a mobile order hoping to avoid the wait times (any other sonic has a VERY short wait time either way) but you still end up sitting there for 20 minutes after checking in. Checking in through the app should make it to where you do not have to press the red button for service but after about 10 minutes you have to press it and say heyyyy I’m here…. I’ve already checked in. Just to wait another 10-15 minutes.
DO NOT go here if you are on a time crunch or on a lunch break. Also when you let someone know the sonic blast machine isn’t working you should probably do it in a nicer tone and properly apologize and ask if there is anything you would like.. I took my money elsewhere.
now don’t get me wrong there a couple nice ladies that work here and sometimes they just seem understaffed but this seems to be an owner issues to me. Be present and fix what’s going on. There are only so many Sonic’s in this area and we deserve a good one!

September 2022 stopped at this Sonic Drive in on the way back home for a quick snack. Good location off the road. Got out of vehicle and sat outside. Lady worker very nice. Sonic has a large variety of milkshakes, slushie drinks, & good hamburgers, hot dogs, or chicken tenders. I ordered corndog, mozerella cheese sticks, & an “ocean water” to drink. The ocean water drink you can only get at Sonic. It’s a mix of Sprite, coconut extract, blue food coloring, & water. I love it. So good. This Sonic is 5 stars in my opinion.

Multiple times, we have arrived at the Marion Sonic before 9PM only to have the entire drive in shut off as soon as we park IF we are able to park. There are always chairs in the drive in stalls. Now half the drive in is missing its order consoles in those stalls. Tonight your guys running the place slammed the window shut THREE times while we were speaking to them. They didn’t care about finding the order they somehow managed to delete after we paid in the app and checked in to pick it up. When we finally got food, it looked like something regurgitated. I’ve attached a photo of my chili cheese fries exactly as they came out of the bag. Also, I was charged extra for Jalapenos–if you are going to charge extra, you might want to make sure there are more than 4 or 5 peppers.

Ordered online; Got four pretzels and 3 slushes. Waited 25 minutes (we were the only people there) had to call this sonic for our pretzels and drink. All slushes were slightly watered down. The pretzels were COLD and HARD. 1/5 stars. Don’t waste your money

People complain about fast food places all the time, but I give this Sonic/Marion VA. More positive reviews. They always fix my food to my requests and expectations.. after all, we aren’t dining at the Ritz Carrelton. Do they make an occasional mistake? Yes. Do they fix it, of course. It’s all in your attitude. I’m happy with my Sonic.
