I got my mom a vegan birthday cake and they did a great job with the design! Was way more affordable than I anticipated and my mom loved the flavors! I also want to clarify that the font is hard to read because they were following my inspo pics and I didn’t notice the photos had the font in the same color as the sand, so definitely not their fault!

The cupcakes were pretty good, a little bit on the sweet side, but i really enjoyed them. The chikin salad was a miss for me, it was quite bitter and the texture was odd. The service was good, she was very helpful. In summary, eat the sweets and avoid the salty.

They made a beautiful and delicious dairy free cake for my daughter’s wedding! She was so happy to have something that’s dairy free and beautifully made of how she wanted in the exact picture of her cake! Thank you so much for doing a wonderful job on the cake that made my daughter’s day!

Got a vegan cake for a birthday, it was tasty. A bit too sweet. There wasn’t anyone to write the short message on the cake when we went on a Saturday evening. They do not sell candles.

We stopped by here to get dessert after eating at Mo Betthas’s restaurant across the parking lot. We got a piece of cheesecake and 4 cupcakes. The cheesecake was bland and had a weird gelatinous topping, the cream was flavorless and best part was the cookie crust on the bottom. The cupcakes were also pretty bland and were dry enough for me to think they were a couple of days old It was a mediocre experience, unfortunately.

City Cakes in Salt Lake City totally surprised me. Gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free… normally that’s the trifecta that scares me a little. I always expect something that tastes like it’s still in the experimental phase. But everything here tasted like real, legit bakery treats. The textures were spot on, which honestly blew my mind a bit.
The peanut butter bar was really good—rich, smooth, and way better than I expected for a GF/V bakery. Not angel-choir level, but definitely “wow, I’d get this again” good.
The place itself is this tiny little hole-in-the-wall with friendly service and a relaxed vibe. Nothing fancy, just good people making good food. If you’re gluten-free, this is a must-stop. And even if you’re not, it’s one of those spots that leaves you walking out feeling lighter, happier, and slightly surprised by how good everything was.

I love the gluten free options! All their food is wonderful but it’s the only place I know in all or Utah that makes gluten free and dairy free treats, giving the sugary goodness I’ve been craving but haven’t been able to obtain here.
My only complaint is how much potato flour they use. Their treats are still amazing. I wish their cheese didn’t contain bell peppers but I can’t expect anyone to cater to nightshade allergies and make things gluten-free/vegan.
