If your not a local don’t go in. You will not be treated kindly.was being eyballed and talked about by the locals. Unstraped my side arm for safety reason and worked my way to the door with my back to the wall as i feel they were planning and altercation. AVOID THIS PLACE!! Not safe for non locals. Non locals not welcome. Atleast thats how I was treated

Amazing atmosphere if you’ve never been you’ve got to come check out !!!! During football season you’ve got to come check out the mountaineer game at the strand one of the most amazing experience I’ve ever had in my life the owners are the greatest people I’ve ever met in my life they will be my friends till the end you will always feel welcome when you walk in that door even if you don’t know anybody they will greet you get to know you you’ll feel like your family by the time you leave lol with live ntertainment every almost every weekend and the owners themselves go out and find and search for the entertainment they don’t pick them out of phone book there’s no eenie meenie miney mo here they’re going to go out and find the best so they can share the best with the rest of us and it just gets better and better and it’s there’s a lot and a lot of different musicians it’s not the same bands every weekend no house band per se so you’re not listening to the same band every time you go in there the owners love music just as much as the rest of them they want to have a good time they’re going to make sure we all have a good time but if you get burned out on the music the Hershman’s keep it hopping it’s truly a good time. One last thing come check out the longest raining business in Taylor county the business has switched hands over the years but it has been standing strong it’s been here since the beginning it’ll be here at the end I do believe I hope sure as hell hope so. Just moved to the area and wanted a local hangout with good prices and a nice atmosphere and this didn’t disappoint. Great beer prices (and super cold) and good food as well. We went on a Sunday to watch football and it was a good crowd and enjoyable

Quaint dive bar. Bartender was very friendly, beer was cold. Didn’t much enjoy the regular playing vulgar music and saying loudly to her friends if they don’t like it they can leave since I was with my mother and grandmother. Maybe regulars don’t like outsiders but all in all pretty cool joint.
