Great spot for BBQ! One of my favorite BBQ places in all of North Carolina so far! We have came 2 times after doing a hike in the area and it is a great place to refuel after a strenuous hike. Delicious & tender brisket with perfect marbled fat. Melts in your mouth! The sides are also very good and compliments the meat well. I’m a sucker for a good ranch to dip my fries and I can tell it is made in house. Highly recommend this restaurant if you have never been!

Every. Single. Surface is Dirty, greasy, dusty! Chopped pork plate was barely warm and appeared to have been quickly microwaved, with no liquid and not tossed for equal heat. Hush puppies and fried chips were pretty ok. Wait staff was attentive. Place appears to have been given up on. Just don’t bother.

You have to get past the stench from the chicken factory and hope it doesn’t turn your stomach before you walk through the door. The place is really nice and the waitress was great. But the food… eh. For the price I want melt in your mouth brisket. It wasn’t. Fat was very sticky and it was dry meat. The pulled pork was OK. Ribs were ok. But salad came after the food. Sweet tea was good. But could have used a little carmelization on it. Okra was good. I don’t think we will be back.

My husband and I are new to Morganton and decided to give this place a try! And we’re so glad we did. They weren’t busy at all for a Saturday at lunch time, which surprised me. I got the brisket, smoked wings and barbecue with homemade chips and baked beans. My husband got the barbecue, half a chicken and chicken legs, with fried okra and mac and cheese. Everything was delicious and the portions were HUGE! The brisket was so tender and good both plain and with the sauce! As an eastern NC native I will say the eastern NC sauce they had was a little more spicy than I like but was still good.
The prices were reasonable for the amount of food, and we had a great waitress. I knocked off one point because as other reviews have mentioned, the floors are really slippery! I’m not sure if it’s grease or what but we cautiously walked in and out so we didn’t fall lol but we’d look forward to eating there again!

Seating was plentiful and our table was right next to the window. Food was made to order, taking less than 10 minutes to be served at our table. Several different sauces offered to dress up your entree or sides. Everything was delicious. The only downside was needing to soak up excess grease on the platter. Good service, nice atmosphere in a nicely decorated dining area.

Blvd BBQ catered our wedding. Just WOW!!! The price reasonable, amount of food plenty for 25 people. The food was Deliciously Outstanding!! Brisket, pulled pork, chicken, jalapeño grits, hash puppies and coleslaw. Not a disappointed person in the group. We will be back 😉

This BBQ restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food was really good. Do yourself a favor and order the corn nuggets- they are insanely good. The brisket sandwich was piled so high I couldn’t eat it all (what a great “problem” to have). The sauces were great. My husband liked the pork and really enjoyed the jalapeño cheese grits. Yum. The service was fast and friendly. There’s plenty of seating. Will definitely be back if we’re ever in the area again.

Searching for open places on a Sunday afternoon led us to BLVD BBQ. It took a bit of time to be seated. Once seated, our waitress was prompt, took our drink order, and returned quickly with the drinks. She was attentive but not overbearing. Very pleasant.
That being said, there was quite a bit of disappearing of wait staff into the kitchen with loud conversations emanating from within.
The food. Oh my. I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with no bun. Added the jalapeño cheese grits because I love them. lol
It was so good! All of it! The brisket was the proper mix of burnt ends with soft and juicy bits of meat. The cheese grits were creamy, soft with just the right amount of kick. Corn fritters added the perfect addition.
