Frankly, my stomach is starting to question my life choices. But then we rolled up to Jennings BBQ in Montgomery, a food truck that’s a Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ award winner, and my tummy and I made peace.
The brisket was excellent—nicely cooked, very tender, and full of great flavor with a nice, clean bark. They did a fantastic job with it. The pulled pork was another highlight. It was incredibly juicy with a perfect flavor profile, and the amount of sauce and spice was just right. The ribs were also delicious—a flavorful spare rib with a perfect pull from the bone.
For the sides, the cornbread casserole was a hit. It had a wonderful consistency, balancing the corn and the breading perfectly. The coleslaw was also great, with a nice, light flavor and the perfect amount of vinegar.
In short, my body might be begging for a salad, but my soul is singing the praises of Jennings BBQ. It’s a definite standout and well worth the trip.

Easily the best bbq I’ve ever had The brisket melts in your mouth and has a wonderful flavor. The sausage is fantastic. The cowboy beans are different and delicious as well as the potato salad which really could not be better

No going wrong with your stop here. Great brisket, and turkey. All of it moist with seasonings that don’t overpower the taste of the meat. Sausage is snappy and just a little smoky. The fried cabbage tastes homemade and fresh. The corn casserole is also a great side that would also make a great dessert. I saved it for last. Give these two guys some business, they are working hard to put out some great que.

Delicious BBQ and sides! The chicken is some of the best I’ve tried! Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The brisket melts in your mouth and the ribs are perfect. The brisket beans, potato salad, corn souffle, and mac and cheese are all great! Definitely give them a try!

This place is superb. I ordered the fatty brisket, Jalapeño & Cheese sausage, corn soufflé and fried cabbage. Brisket had great bark, well rendered fat and a great smoke ring. Sausage was fantastic too, very firm and great cheese flavor. Corn soufflé reminded me of my Mom’s fantastic corn pudding and the fried cabbage was different but extremely tasty. I live in Dallas and eat at Terry Black’s all the time, Jennings is easily in the same league. Can’t wait to return!

Our first time trying this joint. We got brisket sandwhiches. And we loved it! Their sides like their coleslaw was different and delicious. Their beans very flavorful. We will come back again in the future. We enjoyed it very much.

We were driving from California to Conroe, TX to visit my parents. I searched for 5 Star BBQ places near them and Jennings & Co. BBQ popped up on the map. I thought about it for two days driving out and still had to wait until Sat. Let me tell you, if I could give them 10 stars I would!!! Between the four of us we tried most of the meats and sides (regret no one got the fried cabbage, I wanted to try) but everything thing was AMAZING!!!! My parents will be back regularly now and we have another excuse to come back.

I was in Conroe and looking for some barbecue and everyone agreed there was only one place to go and that was Jennings. this is no frills. it’s all about the food which was spectacular. no wonder they were top 50 barbecue in Texas. The folks were really nice, friendly to everybody and this is clearly where the locals go. had sliced beef. it was as good as it gets.

My mouth began to water as soon as I stepped out of my vehicle. The smell of bbq in the air was amazing. I was standing there reading over their simple menu when I was offered a free sample of everything on there menu. I asked them why the free samples and was told thst they like giving out free samples if possible because BBQ is expensive and they would hate for someone to home and not enjoy what they just spent money on. I tried it all. EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. it is with a doubt some of the best BBQ i have EVER had. If anyone is looking for amazing BBQ I highly recommend Jennings.
