Quick and attentive service without being overbearing, if you are looking to support locally owned and operated restaurants Paul & Jackie’s Country Kitchen is worth the time. traditional diner food delivered quickly and your tea glass is never empty. I had the chicken fried steak with fries and green beans and a tea for less than $15 out the door.

My dad brought me here a couple of weeks ago and I had THE best Western omelet I’ve had since I lived in Chicago. It’s a clean, friendly, quiet place to come for a hearty country meal. Service is on point, and the menu will not disappoint!

We’ve been here 3 times, and this time was most disappointing unfortunately because we thought we’d give it another go. Our food usually took about 30 min previous times, but today was 55 minutes. When I asked if maybe our ticket was lost or if we’d be soon, the gentlemen replied with they’re helping other. When he went back to inquire to the cooks they looked pissed, I get it, yall may need more staff. But in the future if your food takes that long let the patrons know before they’re seated. Watched 2 other customers have to ask how much longer it would be. Food wasn’t bad, but if you’re concerned with sanitary food handling then don’t watch them prepare your food, no gloves, no hand washing, no hair nets, but like I say, don’t watch.

If you’re looking for a classic mom-and-pop diner vibe, this local spot offers a straightforward experience perfect for a quick meal. My son really loves their hamburgers, and it’s conveniently located just down the road. Their breakfast options are generally decent, though I found that the gravy, french toast, and pancakes could use some improvement.
On a previous visit, I tried the catfish sandwich, which was a bit disappointing—the small bun seemed more substantial than the catfish itself.
Last week, I decided to try one of their specials: chicken and dressing with mashed potatoes and green beans. Unfortunately, this meal fell short. The green beans were overly greasy and lacked seasoning, while the dressing appeared as an unappealing gray mass that I barely touched. The mashed potatoes tasted like the instant variety, which didn’t enhance the meal at all.
In terms of service, our drinks were promptly refilled, but I wish the waitress had checked on us regarding the unfinished food. I ended up nibbling on my son’s fries to satiate my hunger.
Overall, this diner could work well if you’re after a simple breakfast or a burger. However, if you’re looking for a more attentive dining experience or higher-quality meals, you might want to explore other options. It does have its charm, especially for those who enjoy a laid-back atmosphere.
Prices are reasonable.

I didn’t write a review the first visit because I didn’t want to write a bad review, however this is my second visit within a seven month time frame with the same service. Twice here for breakfast.
It is very under staffed, which means poor service & cold food. No drink refills, no extras such as syrup for your French toast or lemon packets for your water. Also, no heat? This place is COLD!!! Who likes to eat in the cold

Clarksville does not have many good breakfast options. We drove by Paul & Jackie’s Country Kitchen and noticed the parking lot was full. Our hungry bellies told us to stop in and give it a shot. The breakfast was great! Everything was cooked fresh and made to order. The service was great and so was the coffee. If you are looking for a great country breakfast, we recommend this place!

I don,t like to give a bad review and I won,t for a new place but this has been around for some time. It took 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us after all there were 3 people there. We had decided on catfish and fried chicken they were out of both my companion decided on the special of Salisbury steak and I decided on the hickory smoked pork bbq sandwich but they were out of of it as well the waitress suggested the roast beef sandwich. I got it with fries and white beans. The fries and beans were good the roast beef was like inner tube. My companions meal was just as bad. We felt it was a waste of $20.00! The time of day was 3:15 PM l can not understand how it gets any good reviews must be friends and relatives!

GREAT FIND!
Would’ve given them 5 stars, but we only got one cup of coffee, and the waitress never came back, after the food was dropped off.
We had : the western omelette, which was great with fresh ham.
2 egg breakfast, which included bacon, hash browns, biscuits & gravy breakfast, which was also good.
Our meal was better than our other go to breakfast location Moss’ (which charges you extra, for hash browns).

*** this review written after 3rd visit ***
This place is a hidden gem, the staff keeps the place clean and they are friendly even when busy! If they are busy it may take a little for food to come but the quality is great each time I’ve went , not like it was rushed. You can tell the difference, and the price you cant beat. Least meal 3 of us ate and its was $23 then I tipped. They do offer lemon packets for drinks and not lemon wedges which is different but not a deal breaker. I enjoyed the crinkle but fries last time and VERY pleased they were not soggy or over cooked! PSA, do not be timid about sitting up at service bar area. I was surprised it was more comfortable than the booths, I am short and the foot ledge was great for my feet to rest on 🙂
