Went to Blind Pig Pub on East 6th and it’s a great “downtown night out” kind of place. The rooftop is the main reason to come—plenty of space, good views, and it feels more open than most bars in the area. Inside is loud and lively with music going most nights, so it’s best if you’re looking for energy, not a quiet chat. Drinks are solid and the staff was moving fast, but expect lines when it’s packed.

Definitely don’t go here as a last stop of the night. Listen, I work minimum wage on a college campus. I am well aware drunk people are annoying. That doesn’t mean it’s okay to literally unplug the photo booth while it’s printing the photos I already paid for!
The server was a smug jerk about it too. He said he was “being nice” by letting my friend and I use the basketball machines 4 minutes before close so we shouldn’t have tried to use the photo booth. Then he mansplained disputing a credit card charge to me because I made a stink about wanting either my photos or my money back.
He said his name was Jacob Moody, (again, smug jerk about it, shook my hand and sarcastically said “nice to meet you”) but I have no clue if that’s even true. His coworkers all backed him up while I was trying to get his name. The guy behind the bar even started shouting at me that I was trespassing because it was 6 minutes past 2 a.m. It’s just too bad because I liked the bar up until that popoint.
Tldr: Server was rude and took my money. Don’t get a job at a bar if you’re going to treat people who drink like they’re subhuman for being tipsy.

After an exhausting workday, I went to the Sixth Street of downtown Austin to escape from life for a while. I was attacked by the live music from the second-floor balcony of the Blind Pig Pub and decided to follow the sound. As I stepped inside, the lively atmosphere and twinkling string lights overhead instantly lifted my mood. The spacious open-air layout offers great ventilation, while the mix of rustic wood and industrial elements gives the place a classic Austin charm.
Inside, the bar features a long countertop lined with televisions playing sports, making it a good hangout spot for game nights. A live band plays at the far end of the balcony stage, energizing the crowd. From my seat, I could see people laughing, drinking, and singing along, all while framed by the downtown skyline peeking through the open structure.
What makes the Blind Pig stand out is its mix of entertainment—arcade basketball machines, punching bag games, and even a photobooth-style room in a neon-trimmed pod. This place blends dive bar grittiness with vibrant nightlife energy.
Whether you’re bar-hopping or staying for a few rounds and some games, the Blind Pig offers a memorable and unapologetically Austin experience.

The night I went to Blind Pig was just what I needed to experience 6th street! The rooftop deck with amazing views of the Austin skyline is perfection. The deck has a huge TV upstairs and arcade games. Even though it was a Monday night, it was lively! They had a band playing and their energy was captivating. This place is a must when you’re in town!

The vibes at the bar were great. The band was amazing. Drinks were good. The only complaint is the bathroom stalls not having locks on them and being messy, but hey its a bar. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here.

It’s a great pub with great vibe. The crowd is somewhere in their 20s-40s, that don’t leave the bar not until 1am lol.
They have a great live rock band every night . You can enjoy great beers snd cocktails with great music.
They also have a pizza bar in the rooftop.
The bartenders are very friendly, too.

Came here during a 6th Street bar crawl. They had the NFL playoff game on the TV so I was pumped. I only had drinks here so do not know about the food situation. The beer was pretty good! It was easy to get a beer which was nice!

Had an awesome experience here. Great live music. The band even brought up one of the bar patrons randomly and he was an excellent addition. The drinks were typical of a bar and decently priced. Cool space and all the bartenders were polite and helpful. Great spot for a few drinks and potentially dancing if you go at the right time.

I watched a few bands here. The staff were super friendly. They had some great specials the day I was there. Upstairs is open air and they had two or three super large fans going . I felt a little better knowing that air was circulating
