Best seafood we have had! The service was excellent and the money paid was low for such quality food. The portions were good, the food was delivered fast and fresh and hot. We will definitely return!

Yadkin valley, what the world? I ordered chopped sirloin steak with baked potato takeout got home and just look at the picture of the potato..I would have been ashamed to send that out the door. It wasn’t much bigger than a walnut.

I love you guys I really do but there are a few small things that I’d like to see changed. There were no cucumbers in my salad. The very small cup of melted butter did not have the lid secured and spilled on the dinner. There should also be an option to purchase additional butter for Gus’s Special. The seafood was great as always.

Not impressed tonight at all. Party of 6. I’ll start with, the waitress was great. No issues with service. The sweet tea was basically sugar water with a hint of bitter taste. It was like the sugar taste was covering up the fact that the tea was old. The Mountain Dew was more like water than Mtn Dew. The chicken tenders were cooked so hard the kids wouldn’t eat them. Everything else was OK. Just not a good night when every person in the party has some sort of issue with food. Oh, and the first bottle of ketchup we got had an obvious “old” taste to it.

Updated 10/5/24. Potatoes were not even hot (or warm) enough to melt the butter. They were also very firm in the middle and hot to touch on the outside. Weird…..all I can figure is maybe they microwave them to cook, but didn’t cook them long enough. But the butter just sat there on top of the potato. My flounder was not that great either. (The pic below was NOT from this visit) We ate inside this time.

Great location with access from both North and Southbound US 601 (South State Street ). Open nights Tuesday through Sunday and open for lunch on Sundays, Closed on Mondays. Only seafood restaurant on US 421 between Winston – Salem and North Wilkesboro. They feature Daily specials or order from the menu which has boiled, broiled or fried sea food. I recommend either the fried salt and pepper catfish, fried popcorn shrimp or the ribeye steak.

We ordered to go order. Popcorn shrimp plate and combination popcorn shrimp and flounder. The popcorn shrimp was not cooked very well. The batter was not cooked crispy. Tasted like awful. All the batter was falling off the shrimp. It wasn’t good at all. The fries were cold and not cooked crispy. This was the second time I have gotten food that wasn’t good here. Would not recommend.

First visit after years passing by. Rainy late Thursday night but they were there! Flounder special and a catfish. Lots of fish! Great sides. Awesome sweet tea. Great hush pups. Super value. Only way it’s better is to fix, clean, update the restrooms. Whew they need some TLC.

I left a review 2 years ago when the service and food were decent. I just recently left and can tell you save your money.. The food and service were terrible, party of 6 every plate came out seperate so other people in our party were eating while others waited for their food. The Gus platter had so many bones in the fish it was not edible, the potato was undercooked, and the shrimp and scallops were tasteless. I sent the platter back the kid brings back the plate and says the boss lady said she will take the fish off but not the rest of the food, I wasn’t looking for a refund!! I would have paid for it regardless. I sent it back due to the poor quality of the food. The waitress then came over and said she would take the platter off but charge me for the potato and salad. Fine I would have paid for all of it my point was the food and quality were terrible..No apology from the owners or managers . So whether you live in town here or are just cruising by the interstate, do yourself a favor and skip Yadkinville Seafood there’s much better, quality edible food just a few exits up the road!!!
