Popeyes advertises an offer directly on the back of their receipts and through the official survey site: “Enjoy two pieces of chicken and a biscuit FREE with purchase of a large drink.” I completed the survey properly and within the required time frame and received a valid offer code.
When I came in to redeem it, the employee told me they “don’t do that anymore” and that it’s “not in the system,” then proceeded to explain how their system works as if that changes the fact that the offer is still actively being advertised.
As a customer, I’m not responsible for internal system updates. If an offer is printed on receipts and generated through your official survey website, it should be honored. Otherwise, that’s false advertising.
I wasn’t asking for anything extra—just the exact deal that Popeyes is promoting. Not honoring advertised offers isn’t cool, and it reflects poorly on this location’s management.

The food is consistently fresh. HOWEVER, they never read the details. If I pay for an extra sauce, I never get that sauce. If I ask for spicy tenders or chicken and they don’t have it all ready, they’ll put a regular tender or chicken in my box and give me an extra one as if that should make up for it. I even knew something was wrong today when they told me it would take 6 minutes to cook the spicy tenders and then they came outside in 2 minutes…with a box mixed with spicy and regular. Please give people what they pay for. It’s my money…not yours. I’m willing to wait and never give a hard time about it. I don’t like plain chicken because it has no flavor. So giving me an extra one doesn’t help. It just becomes trash. And you can visibly tell the difference between the two.

This is the best popeyes in multnomah county. It’s the best popeyes that I personally have ever been to but I don’t really eat popeyes when I travel so who knows, it could be better than a lot of locations. For some reason, this is the only location that cleans their oil and uses large chicken pieces. The tenders are very sizable. I remember the first time that I had tenders from a different location and I was SHOCKED that other locations use half the size of chicken to make their tenders. Not to mention, they used to always throw in an extra tender or two depending on how big of a meal you got. Like if I ordered the 14 tenders, there would definitely be 15 or 16 tenders. Now let’s get to the quality. Not too much breading which is great and FRESH, crispy, light breading. And the juiciest boneless wings on earth. I don’t mind paying their boneless wing prices because the chicken is so juicy, fluffy and fresh. The only small complaint that I would ever have is that sometimes the boneless wings can take a really long time to prepare but hey, I just order it like 20 mins ahead of time. These boneless wings are so juicy that I can reheat them in the air fryer TWO days later and they are still way better than ordering from any of the other popeyes locations in portland. The other locations need to get it together and come study this location because it is elite.

2/3/2026 Update: Ordered special 2 piece with coupon and was presently surprised. Didn’t specify which pieces but got wing and breast. Not my favorite parts, but the wing was from a grownup chicken. The breast was very juicy and good. Meal was super hot! Had to update my past review…..Mashed potatoes were under small but remember this was a special from a coupon.
Got a 3 piece yesterday, when it first opened. Love it then when the chicken is nice and hot. Problem is now it seems that Popeyes has gone back to cutting up chicks, instead of chickens. Teeny weeny wing, that you can hardly even see. Tiny thighs, makes you wonder why they would even sell anything that tiny to a mouse, let alone a human.
I was too disgusted and embarrassed to even take a picture of, especially the teeny weeny wing. Second time I’ve gotten something so sad. Going to go back to Kfc.
