We had Lauren as our server and she was fantastic!!!
We had crab and artichoke dip.
Then Mahi Mahi tacos and a butterfly shrimp in a Ceasars salad.
The chef should get a raise, all cooked to perfection. Loved them all.

The food was the best offered during this off season in Rodanthe. Fried shrimp & crab cakes…couldn’t go wrong. The sunset was absolutely amazing ‼️ The conversations between tables was lite & friendly. Relaxed, friendly service…thanks Josh.

This was the highest quality restaurant experience I’ve had in many years. Came on a date with my wife for the bourbon, beer and wine festival in April.

The views of course are spectacular. But the restaurant is family run and they know how to take care of you. Great recommendations and brutally honest about their dishes and what goes together.

The Puerto Rican queen snapper was the tastiest bite. But the rib tips were amazing as well. So many different things worked. And the service was superb. I will be coming back and I live in Phoenix with no plans of coming to North Carolina but I want to experience that food and that service again.

We came during off season, about a week ago and have no complaints. Our server was fantastic and brought out all our food hot and drinks fresh. The sea crab soup was not creamy like what I’m used to from living in South Carolina for a bit. The fish though, fantastic and fresh! It was recommended that I get the fish tacos but honestly, the fresh fried group was much better. The coleslaw is made in house and was a nice side to have too. The patio isn’t huge so it’d be hard to sit a large group outside but for us (4 people) it was perfect
This was a kid free trip so I’m not sure if they have kid meals – it was kid friendly though!

Lastly, our waitress recommended Alex’s seafood market. A great recommendation! We’ll be back if we’re ever in OBX again!

My wife and I were camping at Camp Hatteras and our daughter picked Good Winds. We arrived in the early evening and were seated promptly. After a Quick Look at the menu, I ordered Fish Taco’s and Mac N Cheese and my wife ordered the Good Winds burger. We both enjoyed our meals without issue. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio though being seated on the patio as the sun went down would be amazing. The staff friendly and helpful without over doing it. Overall, Good Winds was an enjoyable experience that we would repeat as well as recommend.

First, the view. We ate on the outside deck overlooking the sound and facing west, a perfect location to watch the sunset, which in the Outer Banks is phenomenal.

Second, the food. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I was lucky to be their very first customer trying out their new enchilada creation which was delicious. They were filled with chicken and shrimps, mixed with a nice creamy sauce and topped with melted cheese. A scrumptious rice mixed with other grains and spices accompanied the dish. I loved it.

Finally, the service. The woman who served us was very friendly and even offered us dessert on the house when she found out it was my birthday. The chef came out of the kitchen to talk with us and find out how we liked his food, and particularly his new dish, the enchiladas. It’s always nice to see people who actually care about what their customers like or don’t like.

Overall my husband and I were very happy about our choice of restaurant, not to mention that it’s one of the rare restaurants open on Sundays in Rodanthe.

We stopped here unplanned with four teenage girls in tow. The wait wasn’t too long. The food was great. The service was even better. We ate outside, and the views were spectacular. Everyone had a great experience, and we will definitely go back again when we are in the area.

We had the Tuna Butes appetizer and Fish Taco Entree. Tuna bites have a nice texture and flavor to them 5/5. The fish tacos though….. Let’s just say it was love at first bite. Immediately after finishing it we ordered more of them which I’ve never done anywhere.
The restaurant vibe was fantastic it had a live band playing and a beautiful view.
Service was busy but they kept up with our orders and came out excellent.
The only ding I have was around sunset the sun will shine thru and blind you, I wouldn’t ding the score because blocking it might obscure the view.

This place is located on the second floor of a building above some souvenir shops. Dumpling says surprisingly better than expected. Burrito says that view . Interior is very standard. Burrito had a simple Caesar salad, which was very good, and had lots of grated Parmesan. Dumpling had a chicken sandwich, and the chicken was done just right, not greasy, but juicy. Onion rings as a side were delicious and exactly what we are looking for in an onion ring, smooth beer battered, not all crusty Panko crusted. Dinning with some extras, the fish had by another was huge, and we were told delicious. Chicken fingers were also good. French fries as a side were the excellent potato kind. The mashed potatoes had as a side to the fish and tasted by all, were strange. They had an off taste and were not seasoned/mixed properly. When Burrito asked what was in them we were told heavy cream and butter, maybe the cream was soured because these did not taste like standard issued mash.

My significant other and I traveled out of town for the weekend and decided to get takeout for dinner. We got raw Oysters Crabcake sandwich with tots, Tuna sandwich with cucumber salad, Sea Crab soup and Key Lime Pie and the bill was $101. However, let me not forget to mention they charged a $18.00 to go fee which they forgot to mention on the phone when I called.
You would expect really good food right! Apparently they need lessons on Oysters, the Crab ran out of the soup. The Crabcake and Tuna were good but they could have left the bread off! Cucumber salad was delicious but the tots, well they should take those off the menu. To end on a good note the Key Lime Pie made our hearts happy! We both are foodies and felt less than satisfied! Don’t like to complain but with that bill the food should have reflected better flavor! Thanks
