I had the pleasure of working a wedding there last night with the wedding planner. The staff were amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. The venue was a beautiful setting for a classy water front wedding! I would recommend anyone in the VB/Sandbridge area check them out for your event!

Hi early I hate doing this to a business but the food is awful. The idea of the types of food is great but the food taste is bland! When arriving at our table to eat, it was barely warm. Just a piece of advice, don’t order the back bay burger that’s supposed to be seasoned with old bay. It has no seasonings on it at all. The vegetables are super greasy and if you know anything about food, you can look at it and see zero seasonings or garnish efforts. Overall poor quality and absolutely not worth the price. Jose tequila next door sounds much better.

Our family has been coming here for the food and the Karaoke for years. Food is fantastic and the staff are amazing. The Karaoke is very fair and caters to families early in the evening (Adult swim starts around 9-ish), so cute seeing the young children sing and their families are so supportive. It is a friendly, laid back, good time. Games outdoors (Cornhole and Giant Jenga) Beautiful view of the back bay. It’s what we look forward to every summer.

We went here to have dinner. Was told by the hostess that dinner in the restaurant was going to be a 45 minute wait. So, I asked about the bar side looking out at the bay and was told it was seat yourself and they served pizza. We decided to do this option instead because of the view and we were hungry. We found a seat, sat there for a few minutes before realizing that there is no wait staff. Went up to the bar and ordered a couple of Orange Crush cocktails. Was hoping that they would be like Waterman’s in VA Beach, but was really disappointed that it was on the rocks, in a small plastic cup (maybe 8 Oz) with all ice. At $8.00 it was no bargain. Then I was told that they were not serving pizza at that time, this was on a Sunday around 5 PM, and was told about Jose’ Tequila across the street. (Wish I would have known that before ordering the drinks. That is where we went to have dinner, and their drinks were worth the money.) As I was leaving, I let the hostess know that the bar wasn’t serving pizza since there seemed to be a lack of communication there.
The sad part to this is that the Sandbridge Island restaurant had to close that day because their water heater died, and Margie and Ray’s was closed as well. People were coming to Baja looking for a place to eat and were being turned away by the wait time in the restaurant and by the fact that they weren’t serving food at the bar. In today’s world with the economy, and other establishments opportunities, you are only a step away from losing customers for good.

First visit to Baja. We have passed by it for years but had never stopped by to eat. We came in off the water and we were seated outside with a wonderful view. We had someone with a shellfish allergy with us and the cook came out to talk to them. Extremely pleasant and accommodating. The food was excellent and the waiter was very nice.

Beyond impressed with our total experience this evening! Our waitress has very attentive, informative, and friendly. The place was packed but our food order did not have a long wait time at all.
The She Crab Soup and Seafood Au Gratin we’re phenomenal! The pasta had an abundance of shrimp, scallops, AND crab meat in it.
The food was so good that my husband asked to thank the chef for our food and let him know he was doing a great job. (my husband has never done that before!)
This is our first time staying in the Sandbridge area and I am very impressed with Baja. This will be a MUST STOP anytime we return to the area.

Came here on a Friday night to have dinner with our family (6 people). We knew there would be a bit of a wait due to the day of the week and the time we were visiting. Ended up waiting a little longer than we would’ve liked, but we understand that things happen and it was a popular spot.
After realizing that we were waiting longer than originally told, they quickly made amends and set us up in a perfect spot. Food came out delicious and extremely fast. Server was sweet and attentive.
We also ordered some drinks at the bar before being seated and the bartenders were lovely as well.
All in all, it was a bit of a wait…but worth it. Food was delicious and the view was amazing.

There are very few places on Earth that surpass their intentions. Baja’s is a hidden jewel in one of God’s greatest creations, Sandbridge. Treat yourself, from Crabcake bennidects at brunch to sunsets that will having you greatful you were there.

Went for a nice dinner without kiddos. Had the special soft shell crab sandwich, very good. But the green beans… Oh My delicious! Beer selection was smaller. Also returned later that Eve as other fam wanted Mojitos, however can only order those at the restaurant not the bar. But on the flip side was more beer (I was told about) at the bar.
