Stanley’s Corner absolutely crushed it.
If you’re looking for fancy, keep driving. If you’re looking for legendary, pull up a chair and order The Big Duke. This country fried steak is massive. Like “did they raise this cow in the back?” massive. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and smothered in rich, peppery gravy that does not mess around. It’s the kind of plate that makes the table go quiet for a minute.
The Bloody Mary? Fantastic. Balanced, bold, and exactly what you want alongside a steak this serious. They nailed it.
And the service…friendly, welcoming, no nonsense. The kind of place where you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time in.
Stanley’s Corner is a proper little dive bar gem. Huge portions, great drinks, great people. I’ll absolutely be back.

They did a great job helping us celebrate our family gathering. The nachos was perfect for a group. They were very attentive. Played pool and listened to the music of our choice in the juke box.

The nachos are as good as ever. Servers were amazing even though she was unexpectedly swamped and solo on a Sunday dinner rush. Isabella killed it and was so nice and welcoming to our little 8y/o and fam of 3.

I ordered the Gurdy hash. I was pretty disappointed. I thought I was getting a hearty, skillet dish consisting of chopped meat, potatoes, onions, etc , all fried together until crispy. Instead, I got just plain eggs, hashbrowns, and two (the menu stated three) pieces of bacon. With a very small biscuit and gravy on the side. You might wanna reconsider the name because that is not a breakfast hash. The hashbrowns were not crispy at all.

It was our first time back to Stanley’s Corner in about 4 or 5 years. Obviously, things have changed.
1) Food – Worst nachos we’ve ever had. Zero seasoning on the meat. They used to be great,
2) Service – I had to track down a server to make our order. Normally they come to you. On this visit it wasn’t even that busy.
3) Atmosphere – Nice place aside from the pool player using the F Bomb every shot he missed (and it was very loud and often).
It’s another of the Portland area restaurants that we have decided to never go back to! Sad.

It’s a nice place, a bit older and a little dark inside. At first glance I wouldn’t go in for food, it’s not bright and cheery or warm and cozy but I did stay and was glad I did! Our server Nicole was a sweetheart and took care of our needs, we had a late lunch and our food was really good. I definitely enjoyed it and will stop by again!

The the food was excellent, the portions were large and the service was great. We were served by nice young man named Tanner. He was extremely polite and friendly, and did a great job interacting with our 6 year old son. When my son asked if the kid’s milk was refillable, he went back to the kitchen, asked and then came back and did a great job interacting and telling him it was indeed refillable. When we got the food, the portions were quite large. We actually took some home, which is unusual for me. The prices were pretty good, especially considering the portion sizes. I would not hesitate to come back here. The food was great, and the service was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back.
