So my S.O. called this place as we were walking into the restaurant before we even ate there. Suggesting that it was on the level of an Outback. You’ll be able to tell from the photos that our foot sat under the warmers for far to long. The steaks were poorly seasoned and because it sat for too long the doneness was overcooked. The brussel sprouts had no flavor and the sauce was just pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl. Similar for the waffle fries, all the blue cheese was at the bottom of the bowl. Service was sporadic and had many forgotten items that were requested more than once. If you’re in the area and are looking for a steak house, skip this one.

Food was good and the right size, well cooked with fresh ingredients. Salad was awesomely fresh.
Service and staff are good, however food came to table a little slow.

05/03/2025: The two of us arrived around 5p on a Saturday. It was pretty quiet and only a small number of people in the dining room. Nice because it was so quiet.

We ordered calamari, Ribeye and pork chop for dinner and a couple of cocktails. Cocktails were okay, tasty enough. Can’t complain about the food overall, everything really good. Calamari was lightly battered and fried. Ribeye was a really decent size and cooked exactly how it was ordered (medium rare). Pork chop was a bit overdone however still a good dish.

Service was friendly and attentive. Building is reminiscent of Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus. Think tall ceilings, lots of wood, high backed booths. Very nice.

We got the prime rib and ribeye (both med rare). For the price, the steaks were okay, but the ribeye came with a sauce on top to make up for the taste of the actual meat.
We also got the chili lime shrimp appetizer and when I tell you this was the smallest appetizer I’ve ever seen.. I almost thought it was a joke, but the menu does, in fact, say it comes with FIVE ‘prawns’. They were regular size shrimp that you eat in a single bite, not the larger prawns that you’d expect from a $15 for appetizer. The portion size was so laughable that we waited in weary apprehension for the $100 in steaks for the next 30 minutes.
Prime rib 3.8/5
Ribeye 3.5/5
The sauce for the chili lime shrimp was tasty, but we got more flavor from dipping our forks into the sauce than the 2.5 small shrimps we both ate within 10 seconds of it being dropped off.

This was the worst steak I have ever eaten in my life. The meat was terrible. I was very hungry, but after taking one bite, I felt like vomiting and couldn’t bring myself to try a second bite. I even let my friend try a bite, and she vomited too.”

This steak house used to serve really great food but not anymore. My husband and I received prime rib and New York steaks that were both tepid despite the fact that most tables were empty right after opening, meaning the place wasn’t busy. The mashed potatoes had a synthetic smoke flavor and the asparagus was not just tender-crisp, it was crunchy.
The waitress was pleasant and moderately attentive however, the man who seated us did not smile and was dressed in rumpled jeans and run-down shoes, looking very sloppy. The atmosphere is still wonderful, private tables, quiet, not cold but the decor is going to seed.
So sad that a good place doesn’t put some money back in to maintain appearance and invest in a quality chef.

I love the space. Food can be hit or miss. I had spare ribs this time. I was a little sad about the steak the last two times. I do enjoy the sides. Broccoli was great… not why I went there.

I was expecting better from the advertising. Maybe we caught you on an off night but my filet mignon was over cooked and on the dry side. Same with my wife’s prime rib. My garlic mashed potatoes were cold and as if they were scooped out of a container. And the portions were a bit skimpy for the money. Cocktails were good. Sadly, I would not return. For this kind of money I would choose the Belleweather in Bellingham.

Food was bland. Overpriced for quality and portions. Cocktails meh. Dessert again nothing memorable. Service was great. They have a good staff. I just wish chefs would put their own touch on dishes served. Ordered the prime rib and chicken marsala . Both lacking any perceptible flavor and uniqueness. The sides that accompany them were sad too. I counted 3 small asparagus spears on my plate and a sad small helping of mashed potatoes. I have a greater expectation for a meal that exceeds $100.00.
