I chose this place to celebrate my Bday with a friend & the young girl host at the door was so rude & not friendly at all- Why have a miserable young girl as a host? The host is the 1st face of your establishment that is supposed to make your guests feel comfortable ♀️ – The restaurant was almost empty with PLENTY of Empty tables & she tried to cram us right next to another couple, where the tables were extremely too close, we looked around like can we sit at any of the other 30 tables available?? and asked to sit 1 table away from the couple so she had an attitude about that ♀️
We ordered Lomo Saltado and “It just Looks pretty good in the pictures” BUT it was Not Good at all honestly, This was not an authentic Peruvian dish that We’ve had many times in the past!
1. The portion was super small
2. The beef was huge chunks of unflavored chewy meat
3. Served with a tiny bit of unflavored bland Soggy rice
4. Drenched in Tomato Sauce
5.No condiments on the table
6.They never came around to serve more water so we only had 1 small glass of water.
Not a good choice of dish for us! Maybe stick to Burgers & wings here/ Bar food…
I came here 2x in the past & all was fine, food was delish- Not anymore. The location is the best thing about it with the city view & maybe their other dishes are much better for sure.

I’ve been a fan of The Highwood ever since they opened, and their newly refreshed outdoor dining space is even more stunning than before. With sweeping NYC skyline views, lush greenery, and a vibrant seasonal menu, it’s the perfect spot for golden hour hangs, rooftop-style vibes (without the NYC chaos), and capturing effortlessly beautiful moments. Shoutout to ANGEL for the amazing service!!
The happy hour menu is worth checking out, it’s a great place to watch a game or match, and the food and cocktails never disappoint. The service is consistently warm and attentive, making each visit memorable.
Some of my favorites from the menu:
• Truffle Burrata & Grilled Peaches – Maplebrook farm burrata, grilled peaches, elderflower vinaigrette, sesame seeds, red radishes, basil oil, grilled sourdough bread
• Highwood Ceviche – Catch of the day, red onions, habanero, sweet potato, corn, cancha, rocoto-tiger milk
• Ocean Sushi Roll – Spicy tuna, avocado, cucumber, scallions, torched salmon, eel sauce, spicy mayo
• Lomo Saltado – Wok stir-fried beef tenderloin, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, red vinegar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, native potatoes, chaufa rice
• Delmonico – USDA prime Delmonico steak, garlic-herb compound butter, pommes aligot, crispy young beans, barolo sauce
• Rigatoni Alla Vodka with Burrata – Spicy creamy pink sauce, rigatoni pasta, 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano, garlic bread crumbs, basil
• Brussel ’n Cream – Blanched brussels, applewood smoked bacon, garlic, onions, nutmeg, chives

The high wood is a vibe. Great bartenders and really good menu with plenty of options. TV are everywhere and the drinks are great, too. Must visit if in the area.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was truly exceptional…everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed especially our server Angel! The food was just as impressive. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both great service and great food so consistently. Highly recommend!

Food is great , frequently eating at this restaurant while staying at the attached hotels. But extremely loud on Saturdays, weekday meals are awesome but looking around at the Saturday night meal dates , nobody could hear themselves, people needed to scream their orders to the waitresses. No tables were having conversations, it was simply too loud. The restaurant was blasting music that made the people sitting at the bar watching sports have to scream to each other making the noise level higher.
You would think the waitresses or restaurant manager would realize to lower the music a bit to allow simple conversation

I had such a great experience from start to finish. The waiter was Genuinely nice and attentive the entire time. The drinks were delicious and flowing. Which really matched with the view it’s breathtaking and it makes for a beautiful sunset dinner.

Made a reservation at this place for a date night. Upon arrival found out the public parking lot near this place was $40. Upon entering the restaurant I realized it was a sports bar. And the place was packed with soccer fans as Real and Barca were playing Copa Del Rey final. There were TVs everywhere showing the game, really cool place to come with group of friends for game day.
We got a table by the bar area. Another guest party was sharing the corner of our table. Just totally awkward!!! Since we were already committed, we ordered drinks and food. The salmon slider, sushi rolls and mussels were ordinary dishes. Branzino was cooked well but all other ingredients it came with in the plate, didn’t suit the dish.
The bartender who was also attending our table was a friendly person. She tried her best make our dinner better. She also mistakenly gave us the wrong check that we caught after paying. But she quickly refunded the wrong charge and brought us the right check. It wasn’t the upscale dining spot that I thought it would be, but to watch a sport event with group of friends, I might consider this place.

We ordered the Delmonico steak ($44). The meat seemed good, but the side dish was very weak. I had to order extra fries. It’s worth mentioning that they charged us almost $20 extra in taxes and another $$ for not paying in cash. The tip is separate. I feel like it wasn’t worth it to go to dinner! The atmosphere is more for having drinks and watching soccer games, etc.The service from the entrance to the table and the waiters is Excellent!

Christian at the bar was phenomenal. He is extremely personable and understanding. Christian made sure we were well taken care of and attended to.
