Excellent fine dining restaurant with a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan in Sturgeon Bay. I had the surf & turf and my husband had the lamb chops, done to perfection! Everyone was so welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. Greeted by the bartender, fabulous hostess and our wonderful waitress. They even brought a cheesecake lit with a sparkler and everyone sang happy birthday! We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved Donny’s! The atmosphere was so charming with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The service and food were excellent. It was the perfect place to go for a special night out. I had the tenderloin which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the nightly special which was the rack of lamb and said it was excellent as well. I would highly recommend Donny’s.

Wow, great place from the minute you arrive. The atmosphere is incredible, right on the waterfront. The building seems very historic yet fresh and inviting. The food was amazing and the sound level was low enough that you could hear each other without having to shout. We will definitely be back and recommend you try this wonderful place out.

This was our third time at Glidden Lodge, but the first time visiting Donny’s restaurant. My wife had the prime rib, and I had the steak and lobster. The lobster was perfectly prepared, and the steak was one of the most tender cuts I’ve had in a long time. My wife said the prime rib was the best she’s ever had. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was just right. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to experience. Great service and great food. We will definitely eat here again on our next trip to door county.

We came here to celebrate an anniversary, and it was awesome! We started with a couple of old-fashioneds and appetizers of escargot and deep fried cheese curds, then moved on in a leisurely manner to our entrées of deep fried shrimp and walleye, which were top-of-the-line delicious. Then, we finished with Brandy Alexander’s – a tribute to our honeymoon. All was fantastic and our service was impeccable! Thanks for helping to make our day special!

My wife and I were almost put off by some of the recent negative comments. We’ve been coming here for 40+ years and always loved the place. We decided to come here anyway and were not disappointed. Food was superb, service was spectacular, and the whole experience was memorable. To those who are on the fence about going here, don’t be. It’s an excellent choice for a memorable meal.

The Glidden Lodge was a fantastic evening worth alone for the views. We had a delicious dinner, though some parts could have been elevated, or the staff less stressed out toward customers. Our server with the yellow glasses was THE BEST! She made our night simply perfect, going out of her way to make our drinks when the bartender was fully backed up. The restaurant was clean and well kept, and the atmosphere of the cabin is so cozy. Cheese curds were a favorite, and our Dirty Shirley’s were perfect. We will be coming back!

We came here one night during our vacation to door county and it was so good! Definitely make reservations as we did so you can get right in. We were seated right away and our service was very good! Everything was 10/10 but the pan seared walleye was the star of the show!
