Tulsa Hills Location: We went on a Monday 11:00am. It wasn’t crowded at all. I ordered the Chicken Parisien sandwich. It was terrible. Even though something may not be good, I’m very respectful and usually give them the benefit of the doubt. The bread was hard and extremely dry. I then asked for mayo for my sandwich and the girl apologized. When she asked the chef for mayo and why, he made a face of like surprised but didn’t care. Regardless, No one offered to remake or anything. It was a real disappointment because this is a bakery/ pastry French cafe. There is no way this bread was fresh. There are so many other places with better food to choose from.

We love this casual restaurant! Such a cozy and warm atmosphere with fireplaces. They have a meeting room you can rent too. Nice staff, fast service, and delicious food! I love the soups, crepes, and fresh pastries and desserts. Be sure to download the app for rewards. Kids eat free on Tuesday, and they have great specials too. Free unlimited bread and jam and French lessons playing in the restroom. This is a definitely a cafe you should visit if you are in town!

I have always loved this chain, and had a good mark at this location a few years ago, but, my, how they have fallen down!

The young gal who took our order at the register clearly didn’t want to be there — and made us feel like she didn’t want us there.

Normally, La Madeleine, in keeping with its French tradition, has fresh breads, jams, and butter out. Here they just had a few leftovers out from the previous day, though they had been open almost an hour, plus no jam or butter. So I asked. I did get a helpful, apologetic man to bring out jam and butter. He noticed the few pieces of bread and said, “Oh, they didn’t bring the bread out? Let me get it!” So, I thought, “All’s well that ends well. At least I will be getting fresh bread now.”

Au contraire, mes frères ! He brought out a tray from the fridge under a cellophane wrap, upon which a sticker indicated the bread had been baked the previous day and was to be tossed the next. To top it off, he didn’t take the cellophane off!

But that’s not the “best” part: this day-old cellophane wrapped bread was placed in front of a huge poster on the wall that featured a bread chef and pictures of bread with the caption, “Baked here at 5am daily”!

My potato galette was clearly reheated. Probably microwaved. Wife’s french toast OK, but her sausage was rubbery. Probably nuked also.

I don’t mind La Mad’s prices when you get what you come in for. But this was hardly better than a hotel breakfast.

Consistency is seriously lacking. I order from them often and always order the turkey bistro. I always receive something different. Like today I received a sandwich that was just meat cheese mayo and lettuce. The sandwich isn’t supposed to have lettuce or mayo. It’s supposed to have bacon and a tomato pesto. Then one time it arrived with cranberries? They need some serious consistency training.

My friend and I stopped here for a coffee this afternoon. I ordered a small hot Chai latte and he ordered a large vanilla latte. The cashier that took our order asked me twice if I wanted my chai latte iced. I told her twice that I wanted it hot. What I got was a large iced Chai latte. What my friend got was a small iced vanilla latte that also tasted like Chai. Or maybe it was two iced Chai lattes. I don’t know. What I do know is that neither of us got what we had ordered.

I ordered the la Madeleine chicken dish. The flavor of the chicken was really good, the broccoli, however, was way undercooked. It needed to be steamed a few minutes longer. The rice I didn’t care for at all.
The fireplace is a nice touch. Nice atmosphere, and there is outdoor seating.

I really liked this restaurant. We went and had lunch. It was very good. We had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. I had Coconut cake, my wife had a lemon berry cheesecake. Service was spot on. I highly recommend giving them a try.

When I think of coming to La Madeleine, I imagine the atmosphere with the fireplace, soft music, and the feeling of a French Cafe. The food choices are exciting and the patisserie is a joy for the eyes.
Unfortunately at this specific location (Tulsa Hills), there is so much incompetence…
The only employees that seem to be competent are the managers. There is an overall blank stare on the employees faces as well as underwhelming amount of attention paid to the customer.
It gives me the feeling that I am being a huge inconvenience.
My first two visits here were amazing, my last five have been below satisfactory because of the service…
P.S Don’t take away the single sea salt baguette. We thoroughly enjoy them!!

I really like this place. The turkey bistro sandwich and tomato soup are both excellent. The country breakfast is also delicious. And, everything in the pastry case of course!
