I’ve seen some negative reviews about this location, but I can honestly say my experiences here have always been very positive. It’s right on my way to and from work, so I stop here often, and it’s consistently reliable.
The double-lane drive-thru is always efficient, even when it’s busy, and my food has consistently been fresh and hot. I haven’t dined in yet, but the few times I’ve gone inside to grab something to go, the service has been friendly and professional. The building itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained.
I don’t really understand the negative comments, because this location has always delivered an excellent experience for me. I enjoy stopping here and will continue to visit regularly. Thank you to the staff for doing a great job. It’s appreciated.

AVOID! – AVOID! – AVOID!!!! — AVOID THIS LOCATION IF AN OLDER ADULT! I went through the drive thru in the late afternoon 1/1/2026 to purchase three McDoubles. I was told just to pull up to the door to wait and not one of the several empty numbered spots. When I received my food someone wrote ‘OLD MAN’ on the ticket apparently to describe me. I am a disable veteran, I didn’t need some young ignorant McDonald’s employee to start my New Year off being insulted. I have that receipt and will post here at a later time. I called this location 1/2/2026 at approx. 9am in the morning to speak to a manager or owner. A Hispanic woman with a thick accent answered and said she was the manager though she could barely understand me. This ‘Manager’ refused to help and stated “I don’t have the time for this” rudely. I suggest everyone go elsewhere or risk being treated with little to no respect. Showing them respect gets you nowhere, asking questions gets you no answers and that is if the manager even understands you or cares about McDonald’s customers (she obviously doesn’t). This Manager refused to take any information or let me know who owned this store Corporate or Franchise. The manager didn’t want to speak to me to help me with the situation and now I question if this was a manager at all, no name was given by this rude person. Go somewhere else to eat and boycott this location. I have gone online and made a complaint however I doubt it will matter after the experience I have had at this location, 520 25th Street
Bellwood, IL 60104 – Update Corporate didn’t care and the Management didn’t care. I wasn’t trying to get free food or anything other than an explanation that they refused to give. This is what happens when you hire poor employees and even more pathetic managers. AVOID – AVOID – AVOID and read some of the other reviews of this poorly run business. Corporate only comments to make others think they care while they blow smoke up your backsides.

Making coffee is the most basic thing. Going through the drive thru and thinking you received what you ordered and paid for is normal. But taking a sip of something you didn’t order 6 blocks away is unacceptable. Do better McDonald’s.

Paid for 6 sandwiches in the drive thru and when I got to the second window they asked me what was my order and I told them. Then they claimed I already received a bag of my order which I did not. I realize they must have given my order to the guy ahead of me and they told me to wait by the door as they figured things out. I waited for roughly ten minutes only to be told there was nothing they can do. Always recieve a receipt or else they will lie and steal your money

The manager is incredibly impolite, not to mention racist towards us Hispanics.
After ordering two meals, he handed my wife and I two burgers and a single coke at the drive through, charged us incorrectly, and then proceeded to pretend he couldn’t understand us, speaking English, mind you, just because we are Hispanic.
We handed him a debit card and told him to charge us whatever else he’d like to, as long as he gave us what we ordered, but he refused.
We had to park, walk inside, and wait until he – oh so graciously – decided to come over and cancel our order.
Yes, he cancelled it. Which means we left empty handed.
I have never in my 35 years of age, and visits to hundreds of different McDonalds locations in many different countries, had such terrible service. By far the least competent McDonalds employee I have ever met or heard of.
I recommend people avoid this location until he gets replaced.

Mc Donald had bad comments on this location, not a regular customer, but I walked in yesterday and it was a self service. 1 customer in and another just arrived. I left with no purchase.
This is your answer to the customer service problema? Customer service is management problem, so is going out of business.

Took 20 minutes to get 4 hashbrowns and a chicken biscuit. The workers saw people at the register and didn’t acknowledge us for 15 minutes until a patron yelled for help.I was told they didn’t have my order and couldn’t produce a receipt after the self checkout refused to print a receipt for me. My food was cold by the time I got it.

The manager is horrible. After witnessing him have a bad encounter with a customer because her food was made poorly, he refused to service her and directed his underage employee to deal with the customer, who was hostile at that point. That was poor management and that could have went very wrong. I refused to order here after that and I will never order here.

They are never ready for customers in the morning when they suppose to be open. I place an order every other morning through the app before I leave my house and when I get there they are not ready and I have to wait. Today no one answered the speaker so I had to knock on the window to get their attention. I waited over 15 minutes to get my food. I will drive a lil farther to make sure my order is ready and I won’t be late for my appt. If you open at 4:30 am be ready then.

They got my order wrong, and I didn’t notice until I got home. I drove back and spoke with the manager, who had an attitude about the situation. This is exactly why I always take my receipt when they ask if I want one. She begrudgingly replaced my meal, but the customer service was terrible. If dealing with customers is such a burden, maybe it’s time for a new job.
