Was expecting great things from this restaurant based on reputation but alas, it didn’t rise to the occasion.
We ordered a charcuterie board for 2 which was meant to be Corsican style at 28€. This was as a main dish for my French partner.
It presented with 2 identical pieces of cheese – no variety there; a couple of pieces of lettuce with red onion and no dressing of any kind; 3 different types of meats and a serving of fig preserve with fresh bread. Partner unimpressed to say the least, especially when compared to the charcuterie board he had a few days earlier at Chez Ange in Rondanira.
I asked for my entrecote to be cooked medium rare but it came out looking like a piece of shoe leather and almost as tough. Far too many fries for my personal taste (enough for 2-3 people) – and again, overcooked vs crispy exterior with soft inside. Pepper sauce was adequate.
We visited on a Saturday evening, getting there at 6.30pm for aperitif and ordered at 7.30pm when the kitchen opened so it was not in the least bit busy at that time. By the time we left at 8.30, there were other dinners arriving.

Wonderful paillote with plenty of shaded indoor and outdoor seating, on a pristine beach. It’s even accessible by boat (with a water taxi to get you back to your boat afterwards! Service was good and the food was typical beach fare, although the main attraction is really the location rather than the menu. Well worth a visit!

Chez Francis is what it is. A fisherman’s hut turned restaurant. He’s a local character that has expanded over the years. You dont get any frills but you do get massive portions of super tasty fresh seafood. We ate there 3 times and each lunch was lovely. Staff run ragged but we’ll organised and friendly. A well run locals joint with a view to die for! I can’t give it 5stars cos it’s just belts an braces with no frills! Loved it tho

We went here for lunch, first we arrived at 12:20, we were able to make our order after 30/40 mins of waiting, they really were crowded and not enough ppl working for such a crowd. I had to go to a bar myself to pick up water we ordered. We had “catch of the day”, which costs 35€ each person and after almost 2 hours of waiting, we had food at 14:30, we got not really eatable tuna and some other fish -same confirmation, not even warm for freshly grilled fish. We’ve seen that local ppl were treated differently. Ppl, who arrived after us were served before us. When I complained, we got grilled dorado in basically 2 mins, warm and okay. I won’t recommend eating here, since it seemed for me very basic for the price you pay. Such a shame really, could be a really great.

Really nice spot and the food is good ! The owners are very friendly 🙂 the only negative point is the road you will need to take to reach this beautiful beach… 2.5 kilometers of dirt and huge holes. Apparently the owners are working on it so let’s hope for the best !

The location is nice and the staff too. BUT the food was a huge miss. Half of what we had orders was not eatable, everything that had fish in it we had to leave on the table cause it was tasting horribly.

There is too little staff for the place, they appear to have no communication as we got told different things by each staff. We reserved a table and waited for 20 mins to get seated. Pretty frustrating and a petty as the location would be great.
