We had the pleasure of trying Mr. B’s on North Nebraska today. The service was phenomenal. The owners came out to introduce themselves which was a nice touch.
The food was a hit! We enjoyed both the liver and onions and the fish and grits and had enough for leftovers but that didn’t stop us from taking home the turkey meatloaf sandwich and peach cobbler for later! Oh, I can’t forget the cornbread muffins! We will definitely be back!

There’s something about the breading on this fried chicken that makes it unique. Definitely top tier fried chicken and the sides were I highly recommend the yams and mac&cheese.

Tried Mr B’s Restaurant, on a whim after googling for a good place to eat breakfast. Located on North Nebraska Ave in Tampa.
Not disappointed! Exterior not impressive but when you walk through the door, you find a really (REALLY, REALLY) inviting place, beautifully decorated and welcoming. Jordan, my waiter, got it all right and I was soon enjoying grits and eggs over-easy + smoked sausage + biscuits + french toast made with Cuban bread & adorned with a delectable sweet cream, powdered sugar and cinnamon. Yes, too much but sssooo worth it! Definitely recommend!

Very glad to find this place.. needed a home cooked meal and what better way to satisfy that by stopping thru Mr Bs. I’m not from Florida but I’ll definitely return when I’m around. Food was great service and atmosphere are 10 out of 10

We stopped by this restaurant on our way heading out of town because I had a taste for oxtails. At the time no one else in the car really wanted anything else to eat so I got out by myself to order. As soon as I walked in, there was a wave of comfort and hospitality that greeted me at the door! Everyone was all smiles, and it didn’t seem fake. I ordered oxtails with collard greens and lima beans. Everything tasted as if my grandma cooked it and had it prepared, especially for me. Once everyone in the car saw my food, the rest of my family (7 of us total) came in to order as well. We intended to take our food to go, but we actually started to sit down and eat because the food smelled and taste so good no exaggeration. We can’t wait to get back to this place! Best soul food restaurant I’ve been to!

We stopped by Mr. B’s in Tampa and let me tell you—we didn’t leave hungry OR disappointed! I had the fried fish with cheese grits, and that fish was fried to golden perfection—crispy on the outside, flaky and tender inside. The grits? Creamy, cheesy, and straight-up comforting.
We also tried the fried pork chops with cheese grits and scrambled eggs. Those chops were seasoned with love and fried just right, and the eggs were fluffy and just how we like ’em.
And don’t even get me started on the French toast combo—fluffy toast with just the right amount of cinnamon, paired with scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage, and toast. It was the breakfast plate of champions.
The staff was friendly, especially our waitress, Felicia, the vibe was laid back, and everything felt like a warm hug from Grandma’s kitchen. Mr. B’s is officially on our “must return” list.

The food was excellent, the photos made the portions look smaller but they are not. I had to take the rest to go. The food is seasoned well, and fresh. Our waitress Felicia insured we had plenty to drink, and had everything we needed. When I come back to Tampa, Fl I will definitely eat at Mr. B’s restaurant again!

Definitely a joke. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with came with rice and two size. I also ordered an exercise which came up to over $30 for lunch. Lord knows if I would have added a dessert or a drink. Definitely not a place to be trying to charge $30 for a lunch for one chicken thigh. Plus the food was not even good. I ordered lima beans, but got butter beans which were not seasoned.
Food looked good, but I can tell it was gonna be land when they got in front of me. Don’t waste your time folks.
You can go to the Spanish restaurant for lunch and get the same thing minus the mac & cheese for 10 bucks or less
