I have eaten here only three times. I will highly recommend asking for a Margarita price before you order. To my surprise the second time I ask for a “skinny Margarita “ which is the one they make from scratch!!! It was delicious, even though I ordered 2, paying $50.25 for both. The third and last time the price for one with the same request was before $30.65 just for one. UNBELIEVABLE. How do they take advantage? This is my last visit to the restaurant.

The Burlington University Drive location is one of our faves. Always good service, food is pretty consistent, staff is friendly. Good sweet tea.
Their carnitas are very flavorful. They have good enchiladas, and I like their tamales.

I’ve been getting takeout from here for the last 4 years but today we decided to dine-in. The food and service didn’t disappoint at all. The chips and salsa, churros, Chimichangas, ACP burritos, chicken & spinach quesadilla and quesa birras are some of my usual favs. Good place to watch football games too as they have a nice bar with TVs.

First time at this location and it was terrible. Gave one star for the waitress, she was friendly and attentive. Went on a Saturday around 5. It was pretty empty only like 5 other tables. We were sat right away and ordered drinks. Ordered sweet tea but was brought unsweetened tea. The strawberry margarita was watered down. There was a very long wait for our food to come out to the table. And when it did arrive it was tasteless and looked nothing like what we usually order from the Mebane or N Church st location. Very disappointing! I ordered the steak and shrimp which usually comes out as a whole piece of steak but they cut it up into small pieces.

This place needs a lot of improvement! To start the food was not all that and was only warm! Service sucked had to keep asking for drink refill and only came when we ask for something! They do not honor our veterans with military discount and in my opinion if you don’t offer a military discount you shouldn’t be offered a tip! Will not be back to this restaurant nor will I recommend it to anybody! La Cocina you should do better than this!

Trash..food is bland absolutely tasteless. No joke!! Not one thing was seasoned. Food tasted as if they cook for a hospital. Then the salt available to use is iodized salt. Several people complained and were left with full plates.

The overall service leaves a lot to be desired. With numerous servers at our table.. I asked for water, chips and salsa four different times. I finally received chips and salsa after my food arrived over 40 mins later..never, ever received any water to drink. The actual drinks from the bar were watered down.
This place may be great for some patrons as I saw some people receive repeated service at their tables. They are ill-equipped for parties, yet they charge a set gratuity and treat people like they should’ve stayed home and dined. I definitely felt that way after my experience there.
Forget placing additional orders while you’re there. There was absolutely no follow-up service. I asked for the sauce on the side for my chimichanga..it was drenched in sauce and bland (chicken and sauce). They mixed up several checks!! They allowed people in the party to leave before paying for their checks. The birthday girl had to pay for numerous items because servers were inept. Pretty sad..no one should have been allowed to leave that way. They should have bought checks when they saw people starting to go.
The so called manager took zero accountability for server’s poor performance. She was not interested in my issues with the service and never listened to hear me out, either because I am a senior citizen or I am not the same ethnicity of all the other patrons in my party. The only thing she did was tell me what I could not do and watched the server scurry to get the checks straightened out after he charged the wrong order to my daughter’s card (with correct card and ticket in place when he left the table). Manager then apologized to my daughter. Never to me.
I have been to this location numerous times in the bar area. Bar service was always superb. If those guys knew how I was treated they’d be upset. I’ve never had issues with any service there and tip very well. “IF” I EVER go there again it will only be in bar area. This was my second time in the dining room..in all the years you’ve been there.
I see the issue as the manager on duty October 3, 2025. She needs training and an attitude check desperately. She will ruin your business if you’re not careful. Imagine all the patrons at my table leaving a review like mine.

I used to enjoy coming to this location, but I happened to look at the receipt because you can typically get a meal for 2 at a decent price. This time it was a little higher and i noticed a got charged extra for a to-go order (less work for them more cost for me) and was charged for salsa. I did ask for hot sauce that i didn’t receive so I guess its LaFiesta or San Marcos from now on.

Will not HONOR military discount. Will not honor discounts or coupons from their OWN pages. Very inattentive. O er priced drinks. Small portions. Very Sade experience ce to have ape t close to 60$ for ONE drink, one nachos supreme, no meal, no dessert. Waste of money !!!!! Brought water after food was boxed up. Asked to speak w manager. NEVER came!!!
