Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp has been the place for fried seafood for more than 70 years. Some items from the original menu are still proudly served to this day – Shrimp, Perch, Frog Legs, Chicken and, of course, its original hot sauce. First time at this location. Very organized and clean. Parking lot was full so a bit difficult to park but not too bad for it being a busy time. Service was friendly and welcoming and it didn’t take long for our order to be ready. The food was good but the portion size was a bit small for the cost. Would go back.

I usually go to the location on 87th street since it is near me, never ever had any issues with food, quality or service. Placed my order for my 1lb fish chip dinner which is what I always get. So imagine my surprise when I get home and open my container and this is what I spent a little over $17 dollars on. Now I get it they weigh the fish chips but I have never been so disappointed in my food, 7 pieces of fish chips is not worth what I paid. It might be time for me to find a new place which is sad because I really enjoyed my fish chips

I had a taste for some flavored seafood and I received it. I purchased okra also.
I inquired about the gumbo and was told that they used to have it as I remember, but not at this time.
I hope they will return to the menu and Advertise when it is available.

Always a great experience. Walk in to be treated like family fast friendly food .made to order .Traditional recipes same over the yea4s celebrated the 75th anniversary .over 4 generations of family have been loyal customers to the Fisheries included a few pics of happy family visits ❤️

Today it’s 7:04pm on Super Bowl Sunday and that’s what I get for not going to Harold’s Chicken on 91st & Ashland. This food is greasy, shrimp not fried hard enough, chicken is bland but over seasoned with garlic powder. Just a total waste of money!! I should’ve known something was up when there was only 2 car on the parking lot. I walked in the place and was overwhelmed with the smell of Pine Sol The guy has a little trouble understanding my question regarding the special. He was cleaning the grease in the middle of them cooking I haven’t been here in a while but rest assured I won’t be back. I’d rather go to the real Lawrence Fisheries on Cermak at least I know for sure it would’ve been good without a doubt. Again, that’s my fault for not sticking to what’s best

The customer service was great. We were greeted immediately and the staff were very friendly. The shrimp tasted as if it was fried in the same grease as the funnel cake fries. The catfish strips were fried to perfection but just bland. We got hot and mild sauce which was so sweet. I rate the food at 1 star but the staff gets 5 stars for great hospitality.

Always friendly, fresh food and fast service…..I grew up on the original location….I was extremely happy when the 87th st location opened a few yrs back….tonight was a “dinner for 1” night since the hubs worked late….definitely a treat for me!

Love all locations but 87th is my favorite location as of now! Location is always clean but most of all the customer service is amazing. I have developed a customer relation with Kayla who was very knowledgeable about menu and particular items in store. I look forward to returning again!

Everyone here is so nice and very helpful while taking your order. It looks clean organized and it’s very big. Unfortunately it does not give me the same satisfaction as the location on Canal. I still feel like I need to go and buy a bag of shrimp from there! This was a great try. But the flavor is just not the same.

Placed my order via a call in and the order taker was very polite, and patient as I provided my order. He also recapped my order to ensure once I arrived I had my order. Upon arrival I was greeted and had a very helpful young lady cashier to assist me. Excellent service all around. I would definitely recommend this location to my friends and family.
