I was very excited to visit this restaurant for the first time, despite living in the Metro Atlanta area for nearly 27 years. The exterior of the restaurant looked nice, with a rounded entrance, and the foyer had standing cutouts of the founders.
The ordering process was set up deli-style, and my husband and I opted for the two for $35 dinner, which felt expensive. However, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations, as the catfish had bones and the meatloaf was not as described.
The server’s attitude was unwelcoming, and the food took a long time to be served. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, but I encourage others to try it for themselves.

This Is It…definitely is! This is as close as you’ll get to your family favorite southern home cooked dishes. Delicious food off the grill, baked, or fried with all the sides and desserts. My only issue with “This Is It” is the inconsistency of taste and texture in the items served. I’m sure that depends on who’s cooking on certain days. Other than that, it would be 5 stars.

Son and I got the 2 for $30 dinner special. I got the rib tips and Son of mine got the brisket. Came with the dessert and drink also. Good taste.. for us this was also the best value.

After giving my husband and I the wrong meal through Uber eats we asked if anything can be done, and we were told to come back up to replace the meals for the right item so we did that, kindly. once I got my food it had no meat it’s like the chef just took the corner piece or a leftover piece and fried it and covered it up so that you couldn’t tell. Do not get the Salisbury steak, fried fish or the pork chops. Worst location ever almost as bad as the one closed down in stone crest. Need new cooks and service.

I went there this Monday around 7:12 and they were busy, I personally hadn’t seen it that busy on a Monday in awhile. As busy as it was the ladies working there handled everything in stride and with smiles. The main 2 reasons for the stars is because I ordered this meal from the all day special section and it offered a fountain drink for a $1 and $2.00 for a bottle. I asked for the fountain drink and was told that it was a lunch special but on the sign it didn’t advertise that at all but they made it right for me. The last thing is that even though they were busy I waited over 30mins for the fish nuggets and it only takes a few minutes to cook. The few people in front of me had cooked to order as well and it was chicken, all I know is that fish cooks faster than chicken which is why I ordered it, so I wouldn’t be late for work. Other than that everything was OK.

Food was undercooked. Service was lethargic behind counter. There was one attentive older lady waiting tables. Still waiting for re placement of my undercooked chicken. Arrived at 12pm yeah fresh food right.?? Nope. A little crusty but I needed to eat before taking meds so…. It is now 12 54 pm. We were 2nd in line. I’m about to leave without the dang chicken wings. Mind you this is a precooked counter service establishment. Come here if your standards are low.

I came on a Wednesday around 1 p.m. The place was basically empty. Service was fast and friendly. I would come here again. For some reason I didn’t see some smoked sausage on the menu 🙁 the Mac an cheese and potato salad was amazing. Maybe I’m not a BBQ guy but the rib tips seem a little hit and miss meaning that some of them were hard to chew and other ones were not. Anyways the food was plenty and I struggled to finish.
