Geocaching in the area, and looked for an interesting restaurant. I found it here. I love antiques, and I love when they take an original building and don’t change it very much to turn it into a restaurant. The food was good, and the staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. I think it’s worth a visit, and I would like to come back in warmer weather and sit out on that deck.

We love Charley’s so today we decided to try the Date Night special. We only have one word…amazing! We had the crab dip for our appetizer and the beef tips. Everything was delicious! You can’t beat this deal (which is available all day). We also had a wonderful server, Rylee! She was the sweetest! We will be recommending to everyone!

Hate to leave a bad review but this was a very disappointing meal. Setting is pleasant. We were outside overlooking the creek on a nice afternoon. It took 1hr and 10 minutes to receive our food. Some of it had apparently been sitting a while because it was cold when it got to us. Melted cheese on top of a cold grilled chicken breast? Luke warm pasta. The French fries were fine, but all the entrees were pretty bad. Wife’s french onion soup was inedible. Waiter could not tell us what drinks were on tap and didn’t offer a menu. I would recommend finding a different restaurant.

We stopped here to get some dinner. It’s a unique restaurant set up in an old warehouse. It’s tastefully decorated with plenty of separate rooms for large parties. They also had a large patio area overlooking the Appomattox River. It was a little too hot to sit out there but I would imagine it would be very enjoyable with the right temperatures. We ordered a Cobb salad and the house hamburger. Both were expertly prepared and presented. The side salad served with the hamburger was amazingly large. Everything was fresh and very tasty. Our server Briscoe was friendly with just the right amount of attention.

Really cool atmosphere with an open concept. Lots of windows. Very nice and helpful staff, though a tad slow sometimes. No matter, there was a variety of chocies and it was all delicious. We will be repeat consumers.

Love the food here, but the outside deck could use some attention. Dead flowers in the pots. Rusted uncomfortable chairs and tables. This could be an amazing outdoor space. Desperately needs some TLC. The service was great.

This was our first time coming here and my husband and I had a great time. We absolutely loved how cute and unique the place is and the service was great. We decided on ordering the “Date Night” special, I got the tuna and my husband got the stuffed chicken. We decided to go with an appetizer instead of the wine bottle and it was delicious, we got the crab dip. Let me say, the bread is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious, we got full off our appetizer. Food was good, but the chicken was a little dry, the rest of our meal was good. Loved the Christmas decorations and the music playing:)

This was our first visit, and it was fantastic. We arrived around 5:30 pm and were pleasantly surprised by the calm and uncrowded atmosphere. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch. I ordered the French dip sandwich, which was delicious and came with a side of creamy mac and cheese. The setting on the outdoor patio added to the experience, making it a delightful evening. We’ll definitely be back!

The “Date Night” special is a phenomenal deal! Salad, main course, and dessert with either wine or an appetizer for $43 is well worth it. The French bread served with the crab dip is fresh and delicious. Salad is hard to go wrong. The entrees were okay, did not seem as quality as the appetizer and cheesecake dessert, but Jordan’s friendly and experienced service made our lunch visit that much more delightful

Went in here and had a meal Friday during the day and then Charley’s catered a multi day event for our large group off site Friday night and Saturday at Longwood University. The catered food was excellent in every way (sandwiches, wings, fruit/veggies/cheese tray, brownies and bars). It was on time – the exact price they quoted us and their communication was everything we expected ahead of the catering event. Was very impressed overall and glad that after speaking with multiple restaurants we decided to use Charleys. Highly recommend for lunch, dinner and/or any catering needs! Thank you Charleys very much!
