Bear Canyon Pizza is one of those Tucson gems that really has something for everyone. The pizza is consistently excellent. perfectly baked crust, generous toppings, and tons of flavor in every bite. You can tell they care about quality, not just pumping out pizzas.
They also have a huge selection of unique beers, so whether you’re into craft brews or just want to try something new, there’s plenty to choose from. At the same time, it’s super kid-friendly, with a play area and toys that make it easy for families to relax and actually enjoy their meal.
The space itself is spacious and comfortable, never feeling cramped, and they keep things fun with trivia nights and other events throughout the week. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe is laid-back and community-oriented.
Whether you’re coming with friends, family, or just for good pizza and beer, Bear Canyon Pizza is a fantastic spot and definitely worth a visit.

We usually go to the Gardens but on this particular day it was cold and windy so we stopped in here! We tried their White Tail pizza and it was very good. We also were able to order food from the Gardens menu too! Our friends really liked the Margherita pizza and mac and cheese as well. We really liked that we were able to do beer flights here too. Definitely will be back to try more of their food.

We have been going here for years. This is our neighborhood regular place. About 10 months ago we had an epic bad experience here. Even called to express concern and was rudely dismissed. 9 months later I received a very apologetic nice response to my review. I assume it is a new manager and or owner responding. We gave it another try and everything was perfect again. So last night we brought a group of 20 for dinner. The staff was great. Very accommodating. Fast service. They did everything right. It shows how important it is to own our mistakes and just apologize when things go wrong. BCP is awesome!

Pizza, subs and chicken fingers with a large serving of fries are all yummy. Large selection of different types of beers and a few canned cocktails and nonalcoholic options. You order up front and they bring you the food- service is slow so don’t plan on ordering food if you are in a hurry. Can get loud inside- but lots of outdoor patio space as well- dogs allowed in patio.

I will say the pizza overall was good-crust and toppings, the sauce is so so. While food quality and taste highly matters, a bad customer service experience can ruin an entire meal. The service has a lot to be desired for. We ordered ahead of time to have our pizza ready and when we got there is was delivered to another table. No apology just rudely told and we should be happy because the new pizza will come out hot and fresh. After that, same attitude met with any questions regarding drinks, to go boxes-anything felt like an inconvenience. Would not suggest this place with its current staff service.

Take it from this Chicago girl- this is great pizza. I ordered thin crust sausage and pepperoni and it was delicious! Hot and flavorful. My friend who is gluten free ordered the gluten free crust with vegan cheese and she was pleasantly impressed with how good it tasted. Highly recommend!

Everyone is very friendly. I went with my lovely date to The Gardens next door. I was hungry so decided on pizza.
Pizza here is good, but a bit pricey. I got us a LG pepperoni with sausage and shrooms. I think the sauce was a bit bland as well.
That said, service and atmosphere were great. No reason not to check them out.

I went here a few days ago with my sister for a quick lunch break from studying and we accidentally ended up staying for 4 1/2 hours. The keys to my car got locked in on accident and it took forever to get back into my car. It was super duper cold but it honestly did not matter too much because HOLY MOLY there was a server who came in like a night in shining armor. Lana the QUEEN that you are!! She made sure we had someone to call and that we were taken care of the entire time! When I was freezing cold from the rain she brought me some warm tea and it was sooooo perfect. Thank you Lana you are an icon and an inspiration !!!

Biggest drawback is noise level. It’s so loud you can’t listen to the conversation at your own table.

Atmosphere seems great, nice selection of beers on tap. New cashier that didn’t know if they had lemon for water. Out of “Massive slices” at just after 4 on a Sunday afternoon. Mini slices delivered to table at 4:40 with cheese overcooked and leathery and a full inch of uncovered sauce plus the crust. The crust was dry, leathery and hard to chew.
Gluten free pizza ordered came with very little cheese and also overcooked. We stopped here on our way back into town from Mount Lemmon…. We should’ve kept driving to a different pizza joint.
The sauce was the only compliment I can give as it did have very good flavor.
Ordered a remake of the gluten free pizza and it was more edible than the regular crust which quite frankly is just sad.
