One word… phenomenal! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is THE place to go. Everything is made fresh and with great pride. The owner is passionate about his food and heritage, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Today is my birthday, so I picked Mexico En La Sangre. We’ve never been here before, but came highly recommended. Do not hesitate to go!!!

Extremely impressed by this place! Wonderful hospitality – felt like I was in their home and being fed by my Tio! Traditional Mexican food is so hard to find but this place was great! Amazing tamales and gorditas!! Quesadillas are FRIED and not grilled, American style. You’ve gotta try it!Can’t wait to come back!

This place was clean, bright and smelled welcoming. Food was excellent, served hot and authentic. Tortillas were home made, beans and rice were on point.
Only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because of the price, but I feel you get what you pay for when it comes to food, and I specifically am talking qaulity. Overall this was worth it, I will definitely be back! Salute

This place is amazing! The food alone is worth taking a road trip for (we especially loved the al pastor and cochinita pibil tacos on their homemade tortillas!), but the incredibly kind and welcoming owner made it feel extra special. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Everything about this place was a 10/10. I tried the quesabirria and birria ramen. Definitely Wisconsin spicy but in the best way. Fresh ingredients, all was made from scratch and owner was friendly and accommodating. Will be back.

Saw the reviews and gave them a try on my way through Janesville. Let me tell you the food was super fresh and amazingly delicious! Tried burrito and quesadillas, no one had any complaints. I even got some pozole to go for dinner later and it was amazing as well! The owner was extremely nice, thoroughly explained dishes, and checked in consistently. Needless to say you can taste the love in this food. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

First time there and will most certainly be back soon! Asada tacos were perfect, no fat or chewy pieces and very well seasoned. Al pastor tacos were tender and extremely flavorful with a good heat. Not to mention the delicious horchata that came in a cup as big as a bucket! The owner was kind and greeted us upon entry. Both he and his son were friendly and provided excellent service. Cannot emphasize enough how great our experience was.
