With a concentration of Vietnamese restaurants in the 13th arrondissement, a Google search yield this with many positive ratings on Bun Bo Hue.
So came specifically for that to compare with many bowls I had all over the world.
Certainly didn’t disappoint, very authentic. 15.50€ a bowl.
Got the right kind of spices that I skipped all condiments on the table. Just put in to herbs and chopped chili, squeeze of lime, you are good to go.
Only thing missing (and many skip also) are the pigs blood.
This one got the pigs feet/knuckle, beef slices, pork slices etc all tender, flavorful.
Appears to be a small family operation where everyone speaks Vietnamese. Older lady manning the food preparation in the stall out front, sipping and tasting the soup, a good sign for me but may not be up to the strictest health standard. Doesn’t really matter as broth was scalding hot.

An amazing spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Their soups are not only incredibly flavourful but also come in huge portions, making them perfect for a hearty and satisfying meal. If you’re looking for a cozy place to enjoy delicious Vietnamese food, this is a must-visit. Highly recommend.

Best pho I’ve had in Paris. Similar to the quality I can get in California. Great service, air conditioned inside, and delicious food. The pho was served very hot. Would absolutely return on my next trip.

We ordered the beef pho (soupe tonkinoise). The beef balls were exceptionally soft and tasted homemade, which I really appreciated and felt set this restaurant apart from others in the area. The broth was flavorful and hot, though not significantly different from that of other nearby pho restaurants such as Pho 14 or Le Kok. The side dishes (bean sprouts and vegg) were somewhat limited, and the pho was €2 more expensive than at comparable places, which feels a bit high.
The seating, however, was quite uncomfortable. We were placed on very small benches. Aside from this, the service was great, the staff were friendly, and being able to watch the food prepared in front of us created a very welcoming atmosphere. The noodles, on the other hand, were chewy and delicious.
We also ordered the sugarcane juice (canne à sucre) and the iced coffee. I would definitely recommend the sugarcane drink, it was very refreshing and the sugarcane is from Vietnam. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the viet iced coffee. Although it had a pleasant nutty flavor, it was significantly overpriced at €7.50.

We came hoping to try bún mắm, but since it wasn’t available at the time, we had the chance to try Bún riêu and bún bò Huế instead.
The food was very good, with very generous portions. The bún bò Huế might be the best we’ve had among the Vietnamese restaurants we’ve tried in France.

We also tried the soy milk and the 7-colour dessert, 10000 points 😀

The owner was extremely friendly and cheerful.
The only small downside is that the restaurant is a bit cramped.

Highly recommended ✌

A Vietnamese restaurant with flavorful foods in District 13. It is a small, and family-run restaurant. Beside the well-known phở with different meat options, there are other less well-known “noodle soups” which are known to a specific region of Vietnam. After a bowl of hearty phở, it is recommended to conclude with a sweet drink as dessert.

Had bo bun beef and pork for main dish.

Everything was good and filled us up quite nicely.

Only problem I would have is the quality of the meat which I felt was of lesser than the rest of the dish.

But good experience overall, would definitely recommend.
