While in the area for a conference, we were hoping to find a place that could match both the meal and the overall vibe from the night before. After some thoughtful review searching, we landed on Greystone Public House in Harrisburg and I have to say, we were really glad we made that choice.

There were certainly dining options in and near the hotel, and those absolutely have their place. But sometimes a short drive opens things up a bit. Getting outside the immediate conference setting let us explore a little, and it ended up being exactly what we were hoping for.

Even walking up, the charm of the place stood out. The historic feel, the warm lighting, the welcoming exterior all set the tone before we even sat down. Inside carried that same balance of comfortable and just elevated enough to feel like a true night out.

The food followed right along. The Bibb lettuce salad with apples and candied walnuts was fresh, crisp, and nicely balanced. Simple ingredients done well.

And the crab cakes were truly outstanding. Generous, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Paired with green beans and roasted potatoes, it was one of those plates where everything just worked together and you found yourself slowing down to enjoy it.

The staff were great. Friendly, attentive, and easy to interact with in a very natural way. Nothing forced, nothing over the top. Just good people making sure you had what you needed, which honestly makes a big difference in how an evening feels.

I walked out full, relaxed, and really glad we made the short drive. For us it was a great way to step outside the conference bubble for a bit and enjoy a genuinely good meal in a place with real charm. Definitely one I would return to.

A very nice evening at Greystone, our first time. Service was very good as was the atmosphere. We started with oysters on the half shell, then followed with the cod and salmon entrees.

We came back in January 2026 and had another great meal. We’ll continue to go out of our way to enjoy the Greystone.

We came here on a Thursday evening in July with friends from out of town for dinner. We made a reservation online ahead of time. The place seemed pretty busy when we arrived but the hostess took us to our table which was in a room that was around the corner and it was not as crowded.

Our server, Maddi was right with us to take our drink orders and gave us water. We ordered a couple appetizers which were very good. Our meals were excellent. We shared dessert between the four of us and that also was very good.

Maddi was very personable and attentive and she had an overall joyful energy. She really handled changes of mind and questions from the group very well.

The atmosphere was easygoing. This was a great place for our casual group dinner and I could see it being a nice place for a fancy date as well. Prices were what we expected and comparable to other places we have been. Parking was easy.

We had enjoyable time.

I loved this restaurant. The best pork I’ve ever had. It’s a great atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I’ll be back on my next visit to Pennsylvania.

First time dining there, was very nice, clean. Shared apps, the brussel sprouts were amazing. I had the salmon dinner, also very good. Friend shared some of her ribeye and was perfect. A little pricey for me so definitely a special occasion place for my budget but was a good experience. Waitress was friendly and accommodating.

I had only heard whisperings of Greystone and had been told it was good and that they had great drinks. We went to celebrate recently and I have to say those whisperings are wrong, it’s phenomenal. From the appetizers, drinks, main courses, and dessert everything was absolutely delicious. The landscaping is stunning along with a beautiful building and huge patio. Our waitress was also quite pleasant and attentive without helicoptering around the table. We’ll definitely be coming back soon to try more things.

This is a nice upscale restaurant. They also give a veteran’s discount. We come here at least twice a year even though we prefer ethnic cuisines more. We live across the street in Forest Hills. It would be nice if they gave free bread. The bathroom, dining room, and outdoor eating are very pretty. The older waitress we had was very nice and I gave her a generous tip.

Prices are reasonable. Service is great. All this food for $109 before tip. This place is an awesome place to take out of town guests.

We had a fantastic dinner at Greystone Public House! From the moment we were seated, our server Nick made us feel welcome with his friendly and attentive service. He helped us navigate the menu and made great recommendations.

I ordered the ribeye and added blue cheese, mushrooms, and onions—such a perfect combination. The steak was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. My wife had the chicken, which was also excellent. I asked for sparkling water, and Nik brought out a chilled San Pellegrino without missing a beat.

The service was just as impressive as the food. Nik even packed up my leftovers to go, which was a nice touch. Overall, a great experience—we’ll definitely be coming back!

We felt very welcomed. The food was very good, but maybe not quite worthy of the cost. The first pizza we got (pictured) was delicious. The second pizza we got mainly tasted like unseasoned meat and bread.

I did LOVE the crust of the pizza. But that’s what stood out most.
