The bar offerings are superb. My girlfriend loved her handcrafted cocktail (which is high praise!), and my Old Fashioned was delicious. They also have a great selection of cold beer and the prices aren’t bad at all.
The food was the biggest surprise! I had the chicken sandwich with the hot honey sauce and it was absolutely delicious—juicy, crispy, and the sauce had the perfect kick. My girlfriend, Jessica, ordered the pork tacos and raved about them. They were so good, I ended up finishing them for her (zero regrets!).
The service was incredibly fast and friendly, and considering the quality of the food and drinks, the prices were very reasonable.
If you’re looking for a cozy, authentic, and delicious spot in the French Quarter for a date night or late bite, The Backspace is a must. It was an overall amazing vibe, and we will definitely be back!
The place has a very unique and charming atmosphere.
The staff was friendly and polite, though I found it a bit unusual to have to place the order at the counter and grab drinks myself instead of being served at the table. The sandwiches were on the smaller side—perhaps that explains the lower price—but overall quite decent. The only downsides were the top bun being a bit cold and the bacon slightly tough.
Because of these details I give it 4 stars, but overall it’s a good spot for lunch, with prices that are fair and in line with the area.
Tried the shrimp po’boy, honey chicken sandwich and the brussel sprouts.
The honey sauce on the chicken and sprouts is really good and messy.
The fries are the usual floppy style we had all week, desperate for good crispy fries after the trip
When studying posted menu, their friendly cook approached me speaking creole explaining their menu.
She was able to accommodate an off menu poboy request due to allergy, and ragin cajun, it was amazing.
$3 fries, $3 Brussels, 2am close on weekends.
Perfect for Marriott hotel guests and exponentially better than the tourist traps on Canal
Wings were crisp and delicious, I’d push my nana down the stairs for the brussel sprouts! Amazing!
