First off, a great place to have a casual meal and have a great time.
The review is a three star because it is coming from a vegetarian who does not enjoy plant based meat imitation.
A request: please please please offer a veggie bean/potato/anything that doesn’t taste like or reminds of meat pattie please.
The service was great the food that was not a veggie burger was pretty good, and had a great time otherwise.

Good place for a casual slice or a cheesy pie. Stopped here on my way to the airport. I really enjoyed the chicken wings and my friend really liked the lasagna. Pizza was good enough to put a teenager into a food coma.

Avondale’s Pizza and Café is a phenomenal place overall. My wife and I have eaten there on several occasions, and each time the experience has been enjoyable. The restaurant has two distinct sides, a bar side and a dining side, which is a bit unusual but works very well. The setup creates a nice atmosphere and a comfortable, welcoming feel.
The customer service has always been excellent. Every visit so far has been met with friendly, attentive, and professional staff. That consistency in service is one of the strongest qualities of Avondale’s Pizza and Café.
The only issue we have noticed relates to food preparation when the owner is not present. When the owner is in the kitchen, which he clearly enjoys and takes pride in, the food is always on point. Everything comes out well prepared and full of flavor. When he is not there, the food quality can be a bit hit or miss, and at times it feels like dishes are put together without the same level of care.
That said, the pizza slices are huge. A couple of slices alone feel close to getting a medium sized pizza. The value for the price is excellent, and you definitely get a lot of food for what you pay.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Avondale’s Pizza and Café. It has a great atmosphere, consistently phenomenal customer service, and solid value. For the best food experience, it helps to visit when the owner is in the kitchen, but regardless, the service is always on point and the place is well worth trying

Awww man there are no words for the disappointment we experienced eating here. The pizza is disgusting smh there are no other words for it.
Based on the Google reviews and pictures of the slices, I just knew we were going to have a good experience. We did not. I’m only judging the food because we just ordered and left.
As soon as I saw the cheese, I knew we had a nasty pizza on our hands. There is no way to describe it – it’s clumpy, thick but not sticking to the dough. The toppings taste musty, it’s just weird and I’m getting sick as I talk about it. It’s two of us and we ate one slice a piece and the rest is going to be thrown away.
The Garlic Bread isn’t toasted, we brought it home and tried to toast it but it’s flavorless and taste like hot dog bun.

Cozy, cute pizza shop. Super generous portions. I had the calzone with pepperoni, and had to take half back home for later! Friendly staff and it’s nice and quiet without being awkwardly silent, especially on a Sunday afternoon at lunch. Will be back to try more!

This used to be one of my humans favorite pizza shops when he was a kid so he was excited to come back. They have moved locations since he was a child, but the service was just as good. That thing I think stands out at this restaurant is how good the service is. These days, it’s really rare to find a restaurant with great service.; this place has it gluten-free crust on the pizza was good. My husband also liked his . Fairly good prices for atlanta area.

First time here and they did not disappoint. We were greeted with awesome hospitality. Ms. Stacy and Ms. Aaron made our first experience so wonderful. Ordered 2 lasagna’s and a slice of meat lovers pizza for the toddler. Food was delicious! Annndd they have a full bar!! I noticed they cut the slice of pizza in a bunch of pieces which made it easier for my toddler to pick up herself. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be returning.

The pizza was very yummy and perfect for a pizza craving but what gets this place its 5 star rating is its kid friendliness! We were a family of 11… with 5 young children. Five, loud and rambunctious young child and this place did not bat an eye. They were wonderful with our kids and gave them amazing service! It was over the top amazing and allowed the adults to connect and catch up, exactly what we were looking for. This is not a loud place, great for conversation. There is even a side room for small events. Very impressed! Highly recommend!!
