My food was good – it was pretty salty though. I ordered the burger and fries. I also got a strawberry shake and it was good!

I feel like the interior is much more fast food oriented now, opposed to the restaurant style of the past. I liked this since it was a quicker experience, and you do not have to leave as hefty of a tip since there is essentially no service aside from the food runners. You can easily order your food on the kiosk which I enjoy – you can see pictures,calories, and customize the meal to your satisfaction.

Love this Steak ‘n Shake! We love coming here for date night, after church, etc. Jorge, the manager, is so kind and friendly. He always greets us with a smile and makes sure everything is to our liking. He is personally involved in the whole restaurant. We’ve seen him greeting customers at the door, cleaning tables, bringing food out, etc. We even saw him come in on his day off! The food is always piping hot and the burgers are juicy. And of course the fries! We’ve never had a bad experience here.

We went to the Wendy’s next door. Since my phone spies on me and thinks we were at steak n shake; I’ll talk about thay too. Im sure the food amd service were great. I miss the one on bardstown road. Probably need to get it there and try it out again. Great job crew.

Ordered 1 adult meal and 2 kids meals and after waiting for 40 minites I went to the counter and asked for it to go. With a bad attitude, I was told it was still going to be a very long time. I then asked to cancel the order and he just walked away. I loudly told him im leaving and will dispute the credit card charge. I guess the manager heard me and gave me the receipt for a refund as I was gathering my kids.

There is zero service or customer service. Never got the chance to see if the food is still good, and I never will. Zero chance we are going back.

Went through the drive thru around 11:30 for lunch. Ordered a kids steakburger with a Diet Coke and also a Frisco Melt meal with a Diet Coke with the sauce on the side to keep it from getting soggy. Girl repeated the order back to me and what she said was correct. I was the only car in the drive thru at this point. I pulled around and paid. I got the diet cokes and then waited and waited and waited some more. Turns out they made the order wrong so they ask me to pull up b/c now their was a line behind me. I go in and one of the workers asked what I needed and I said I was waiting for the order they messed up. Still waiting all while the rest of my food gets cold. Finally, I ask for a refund. I return the soft drinks they gave me. How hard is it to seriously make the food the right way when not busy and also when you know it’s messed up, why not remake it quickly. Side note, its probably not the best to have a bottle of Clorox sitting on the counter where the food is being made.

I was recently in Louisville from out of state. I asked my brother if he wanted to meet for lunch on his day off and he said this location S&S. Since all of this part of Louisville has grown up since I last drove up there over 20 years ago I had o do some hunting around since the S&S sign is obscured by trees and the building hidden behind a berm. 15 minutes late I found it. He said he wanted to try the beef tallow fries, and frankly I did as well. I knew S&S went to kiosk ordering and I was fine with that. I was not fine with the clunky screens that either ignored my touch only to become sensitive a few seconds later. The selection process was not user friendly. We finally got our orders placed and sat in the nearly full dining room. And we sat. Other tables also seemed like they’d been waiting too long as well. And we sat longer since we already paid. Finally, another patron got fed up and went to the counter asking not so nicely what in the wide wide world of sports they were doing back there. The counter person was a low talking mumbler. Since we sat at a table close to the pickup counter we had a front row seat. the customer asked loudly and incredulously what he meant by they had a large order ahead of all of the people who took the time and effort to actually go inside. After over 40 minutes my brother and I received our orders. To make a long story short (too late) we were pleased with our burgers and beef tallow fries. Overall I will try the S&S in my city. However, management needs to do some major training and refreshing and remember that walk-in patrons supersede drive-thru people. The whole visit was a festival of errors. Remember, read, and heed: you serve PEOPLE not food.

Everyone was nice, but it did take 20-25 mins to get my food in the drive thru, there were 2 people ahead of me. My food was lukewarm at best so a lil disappointed by that. Drive thru lady was nice and pleasant.

Great food as always! Fries had no salt but there were a few salt packets at the condiments station left I was able to use instead of talking to an employee. Service is slow though we waited almost 30 minutes for our food. They have a good number of team members but they definitely need a better process in terms of handling and servicing fast and efficiently during peak hours like dinner time. I see a lot of negative reviews hopefully a regional mgr or performance director can drop by and help the process be better at this location. It’s a busy area, near apartments, businesses, warehouses, and hotels that mostly accommodates business personnel. This steak n shake location needs better training to accommodate this area’s demands. Like other fast foods in the area for example chick fil a, they have their process down to a tea even when they have cashier stands to take orders in. That’s all the steak n shake team servicing this area needs then they’ll be fine! Be more attentive to customers standing around as well waiting for their orders. Hoping this place doesn’t go down the way the outer loop one did.

Wife and mines first time back after their hiccup/ordeal. Wow! We didn’t think we’d like the kiosk ordering, but it ensures our order is correct! Food stove hot to the table, order by order. Only thing needing improvement is tables need to be wiped down a little quicker. Everything else excellent!! We’ll be back!!!
