Local bar that we go to when we’re traveling south for the winter. They have delicious food very recently priced. We haven’t eaten anything that we didn’t like here. A large selection of ice cold draft beers and great bartenders.

Decided to give this place another try after previous bad food experience. Dumb idea. Ordered two cold sandwiches and an order of fries to go. Firstly who puts hot food in with cold? My sub was warm, lettuce wilted, and the tomatoes were horrible. Who puts chopped tomatoes on a sub? This wasn’t a salad. It was cut so crooked food was falling out. Club sandwich was soggy also. Horrible.

Okay. I’ve been to this bar 3 times. Nothing has changed. I won’t come back. My first time, I wanted to sit in the dining room as the bar was pretty full. There’s a sign that says “wait to be seated.” So, we waited patiently. Host was at the edge of the bar drinking instead of welcoming guests. If you’re off duty, take off your Ted’s Shirt. Needless to say, we never got to sit in the dining room and had to wait for someone to leave the bar. Upon sitting, tons of beer glass rings. When I mentioned something to the bartender and asked politely if we could have a clean place to sit, she looked at us as if we were a waste of space. We ended up using the drink napkins to clean it, and gosh for bid someome was avaliable to give us napkins after the food came out besides the single napking that comes with the silverware. The food was great, rise and shine burger made up for that specific visit. If I could tip the chef, I would. The server certainly didn’t deserve it.
Second vist. Was a bit better, service was faster and there was a gentleman bartending. The only complaint there was it took a while to get the hint we were ready to leave. I understand we aren’t the only guests in there, but if I’m tapping my card and waiving payment in front of you, you’re only costing yourself tips because you could have new guests in if we could leave. More guests equals more tips. We were trying to do him a favor by leaving, but he didn’t seem to care.
This visit today, two women were definitely rude. We sat down on an empty bar, and again like our first visit was greeted with tons of beer rings all the way throughout. Didn’t matter what spot we sat in, it was a mess. Was definitely not a pleasant experience. We wanted to order food, and it was like pulling teeth to get a menu. When ordering soda, we found out it’s Pepsi. I guess this bar doesn’t serve Rum and COKE!!! So, bad drinks, bad service, decent kitchen. The cooks should boycott the employer and open their own restaurant because I’d certainly support their business versus these snobby waitresses. If you don’t like you job, quit. Many of them probably do, because I don’t think I’ve ever seen the same bartender more than once and they all suck.
Never coming again. I moved to New Jersey, and I have my spots when I come home to visit family, this won’t be one of them. Go to JB Lovedrafts downtown Harrisburg, Nocturnal in downtown Harrisburg. There’s plenty of other places. The vibes are upbeat. Bartenders manage a full bar in addition to counter walk ups, and they do it with smiles. This place called Ted’s can’t serve an empty bar. Absolutely pathetic. Keep up the good kitchen work, other than that, don’t come here.

Great food and service. I have to say I was impressed at how accommodating they were with our puppy we brought in. It’s very difficult when traveling with pets and finding some place to eat. It’s much easier in the summer when places have outdoor seating but when it’s winter it’s nearly impossible. I called Ted’s this morning asking and explained the situation and they were more than happy to take us and put us in their indoor patio and then the heaters on for us. We had the room to ourselves which was really nice. Our server was friendly and accommodating as well. Thank you so much for allowing us to bring the little fur puppy in with us. He was so good and happy to be able to come eat with us. We will definitely be back because of great the food and service was.

I live near this restaurant and travel past it frequently. I am yet again astonished at how the parking lot fills up every weekend! In 10 years, we have been to this restaurant 4 times hoping for improvements each time and ending up disappointed. Until tonight, everything that we have tried has been overcooked…EVERY TIME. Tonight I decided to try the pork chops. About ten minutes after we ordered and on a separate visit to our table from delivering my side salad, our very inattentive waiter returned to tell me they were out of pork chops and offered me a steak instead. The one star on this review is solely because he only charged me for the chops & not the steak. The steak however was ridiculous. It was cooked to the correct wellness; however, it was not seasoned nor tenderized at all and it had a large section of very hard grizzle on it. We had to get the attention of the hostess multiple times to get steak sauce and beverage refills. Our table didn’t have any salt and pepper nor did our server bring any Splenda packets that I asked for with my tea. Again, I cannot figure out what so many people see in this place including their advertised claim to fame of having been voted best wings…but even that was 9 years ago!

One of my fav local digs… the cider/non-beer alcoholic selection is pretty darn good (and there’s a full bar, of course). The wings are fantastic, and they are really receptive to customer requests- in fact, the custom order I have been making is appearing on the Friday specials list this week! So cool! Turn up the music, guys- we love that you offer TouchTunes, but want to hear the music over the cheerful hum of laughter and chatting at the bar. 🙂

We were in town for 2 nights and went to Ted’s both nights. It’s a bar with a small dining area separate from the exuberance of the bar area. The first night it was fairly chill, the second much more crowded for bingo night. Our first night there Olivia was our server. Highly recommend asking for her. Our second night, again it was busy, but the server seemed overwhelmed and just kind of didn’t handle that too well. Forgot straws, didn’t check to see if we needed drink refills, etc. First night were super hungry from traveling so we over ordered. The food was very good. I was looking forward to trying their pierogis. They were OK. Filling and tasty but not homemade. Same type you get frozen. Not saying that’s bad or unexpected for a bar, but since the other food was so well made, it just made it more obvious. My child loved them nonetheless. In addition we had the steak sandwich with tots, onion rings, twice baked potato, French fries, garlic shrimp (amazing!), schnitzel poutine fries and Cuban sandwich. All of it was very tasty. The shrimp would have been great over pasta as well and the schnitzel was very tender. Would have loved a sandwich option for that. 2nd night it was pierogis again for my daughter, the dip trio, wings, chicken Marsala, and a Rachel sandwich. The chips they serve with the sandwich’s are so good! We asked what kind they were the 2nd night but the server said she had no idea. Forgot to ask someone else before we left. The dip trio was good, with all of the dips being tasty, but the buffalo chicken stood out for me and I’d get that again on its own. The wings were super good. I got mild in case my daughter wanted to have a few and they had a great flavor and mini heat. Also tried the garlic parm and again they were very good. The Marsala was OK. I wouldn’t get it again but that’s OK. I wanted to try it and it was definitely tasty just not the type of Marsala I’m used to. But the chicken was tender with plenty of garlic and mushrooms though, both of which I enjoy. My daughter won 2 stuffed animals out of the claw machine so she couldn’t have been happier. We would def visit again.

Server was nice and friendly! Portions were pretty big AND tasty, which is hard to come by in this area. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, the buffalo chicken dip, and 18 wings- all of which were delicious.

If you like your wings with grease for sauce, then go right ahead. Quality is gone completely downhill! Scallops smelled like they were bad! Wings completely disgusting! Like where the freaks the sauce?

We have been doing the wings the same way for 20 years. Sorry you didn’t enjoy them. Should have asked for lite sauce.
This is my problem they told me to ask for light sauce? My question is why is the sauce loaded with grease anyways? I want the damn wings blood red! Not yellow with grease and butter. Light sauce? Are you Smoking ? You don’t put grease or butter in sauce! If you would like, I will come there and teach your cooks how to do their jobs. Please reply to this message like you did the last one and I will come show your people how to do their job jobs and teach you how to run a restaurant.! You’re a joke!
