Red Cap Cafe was established in 1974 in Santa Fe, Tx. We serve American style comfort food and brought back the local diner experience. From breakfast served all day to hand scooped Blue Bell ice cream, malts, and shakes. Now serving pie by the slice. We have also added weekday specials, and a weekday happy hour from 2pm-4pm with selected appetizers & discounted desserts. Red Cap Cafe is a locally owned and operated small town diner, it’s where the locals go.

Tuesday noon it was very quiet. I showed up just before the rush of customers. My waitress was very polite and professional. Checked on me a couple of times. I tried the fries with cheese appetizer. I added the chili but it was a lot of chilli. Was still tasteful and filling. I don’t get to eat my actual lunch because I was so full from the fries and Dr Pepper. My soda tasted fresh and cold.

We have dine in many times at this establishment and it has always been a five start experience. today we ate out and it was amazing, all the boxes where labeled. they separated my chillie from my fries so they wouldn’t be soggy. My kids are super picky and always ask to add stuff or take stuff away and the order was correct and the food as usual was fantastic the okra is the best. The whole staff i have never meet someone in that building that wasn’t pleasant, Keep up the good work guys me and mine sure do appreciate yall

First time eating here today November 24 2025. I had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and okra. It was ok. Except for the extreme amount of pepper on the potatoes. I didn’t mention it to the server. I just ate it and suffered later. My server was nice and checked on us regularly. The prices were fair. I suggest easing up on seasonings.

Our server was so nice but that older lady, the one who seems to always have something stuck up her behind was rude to that poor girl. Our server was a sweetheart. I’ve never seen another server treat another server the way that older lady did to our server. I tipped that young server girl because she was sweet and everything turned out amazing when we dined. They need better staff that shows compassion not mean girl behavior

Urgent Message for Red Cap Cafe Alvin Tx Owner. was first visit me and my mom. We ordered the daily special and tacos. When we went to check Out we were not given an itemized ticket my mom added the Tip and the waitress rang us up. She then printed out the ticket and we noticed we did not get the daily special rate instead of $10 for the wing basket. We were charged 13.99 for the wing basket. Can we question when we question the waitress She figured out she didn’t click on special on her handheld to give us the correct rate So she had to ask the young man manager to fix our ticket he offered to only give us back three dollars after March. Discussion. We explained that we were charged $3.99 too much And that’s four dollars and not three dollars. Both the waitress and the manager looked at my mom like she was trying to cheat them Mom then said just forget it and split the money between themselves.
