Frog Family Review: Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera is the signature table-service restaurant, inspired by the cliffside restaurants along the European Riviera.

We had an incredible family breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace! It’s the perfect spot for a multi-generational meal—my parents, the kids, and my wife all found something they loved.
The Food
• French Toast: I had the sour cream toffee French toast, and it was the perfect level of decadent.
• Eggs Benedict Florentine: My wife went with the Florentine version—the spinach was perfectly sautéed, and the hollandaise was spot on. Highly recommend if you want something savory but fresh.
• Steak and Eggs: My parents both had the wood-fired steak and eggs with those herb-roasted potatoes. The steak was tender and cooked exactly to their liking.
• Kids’ Pancakes: The kids were thrilled with their meal (and seeing the characters, of course!).
The Atmosphere
Watching Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy in their unique “Artist” outfits was a hit. It didn’t feel like your typical loud character breakfast; it felt like a high-end brunch with a touch of Disney magic.
Pro Tip: Take your coffee out onto the terrace after you eat. The view of the Disney Riviera Resort and the Skyliner in the morning is the best photo op on property!

Let me start by saying the characters are great, the view is spectacular and the service is undeniably incredible. The breakfast food is 100% not worth the cost. Our steak and eggs were overcooked. The mushroom and tomato were very unpleasant. We also ordered a side of the sour cream waffle. It was ao dry and brittle we couldn’t eat it. Our waitress was very busy with multiple tables so glasses went dry for extended periods. This was for sure a one and done for us. I was also told the reason it is no longer all you care to enjoy was because people came in and got one of everything and would waste it. It is so disappointing how wasteful so many guests are. The biggest complaint is Disney puts so much detail into every little thing and they still haven’t figured out their enclosed spaces need noise dampening. Every restaurant is extremely loud.

A delicious meal with the Fab Five!

We came here for breakfast. Thankfully we had a reservation made weeks before we arrived at Disney – highly recommend as this is a very popular restaurant.

We were sat down and ordered drinks – coffee and orange juice and within a few minutes the complementary pastries arrived. This was a generous size for 2 people – croissants, muffins, danishes…all a very welcomed way to start our meal and experience.

We ordered our food and thankfully I asked if we can do a side of the waffles to which they happily said ‘yes’. I got my savoury meal, the quiche gruyere, paired with a sweet little treat, a sour cream waffle – it was perfect!

As we sat and ate we were wonderfully greeted and interacted with each of the Fab Five and it was such a great experience! They are all decked out in their ‘artsy’ attire which suited the theme of the restaurant. Great experience overall!

The food here was absolutely delicious. It was such a great break from all the park food. Yes it is pricier (you’re paying for the character dining mostly), but the quality is much better and portioned correctly. We left feeling satiated and not overly full.

I will absolutely be coming back for my next Disney vacation and I will definitely recommend this place for anyone booking their next trip!

We had Ashley as our server and she was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond serving us our breakfast. My 4 year old loved her interactions with Mickey, Minnie, Daisy and Donald. The food was spectacular. I had the Waffle and the rest of my group had the steak and eggs. The orange flavour in the syrup is very noticeable and was fantastic. The pastry bucket is delicious. If you’re looking for a character breakfast, this is the place to go! The view from the rooftop speaks for itself as well.

The staff were very warm and inviting. The food was incredible and was delivered quickly. The rigatoni dish is the star that everyone says it is, so good. We received a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary which was a pleasant surprise.

The food here was good (dinner and breakfast are different, but equally good, experiences), but you know what was amazing? The service. The staff is warm, friendly, attentive, informative, and helpful. I really cannot praise our servers enough. I would most definitely return to this place, primarily because of the wonderful people who majorly boosted our positive experience. FYI, this was my first time eating beef cheeks (dinner), so I don’t know what I should’ve expected, but the texture was a bit “sticky” or “gummy,” for the collagen content (as I recently learned). If you do not like that kind of texture, I suggest you choose something else for a dinner entrée. The breakfast steak and eggs was very good, though I felt sad there wasn’t a larger amount of steak (served as pre-cut slices). Also, I’d asked for medium rare and feel I got medium (a little pink in the center, and the outer layer looked to be between done/well-done, so a tiny bit too chewy), but it still tasted good and I finished all the food. My family really loved the polenta, and I do not disagree. It is very good. The view is also breathtaking, from the balcony. It’s fun to see the skyliners moving about. Now, our breakfast was a character breakfast, so they brought in Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy. It’s great! Our server made sure all characters met us and posed for photos! I hope to return to Disney World, someday, and would love to experience Topolino’s again. I definitely, highly recommend making a reservation, due to the high demand for a table, but it isn’t required. Personally, I’ll try something other than beef cheeks for dinner, next time 🙂

Great meal. Very personable service. Pricey, but the view is amazing. The only downside is that we were seated near the door that leads outside to the rooftop seating area. Door was noisy every time it closed. Four entrees, one appetizer, and two drinks totaled $256. Pricey, but a fun splurge with a great view at sunset.

Our server, Chris, was instrumental in providing courtesy while providing top notch recommendations. The service was prompt, and certainly a cut above.

The food, as if it bears repeating from the countless positive reviews, is outstanding. If you’re someone who’s never tried escargot, primarily because snails, and why, then I suggest you take the adventure. They were absolutely lovely. The beef cheek was also a standout as an entree, as were the oysters.

If you’re searching for an upscale dining experience, this certainly fits the bill. I will mention, because it’s upscale, please know that it’s not pretentious. It was a very welcoming atmosphere, and the dress code was relaxed a bit (hats, shorts, t shirts were all enjoying the great food).

I’d certainly come back!

If you time your reservation well, you can watch the EPCOT fireworks while dining, which is a nice bonus. The food is upscale and well prepared.

However, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant itself is not particularly special. Most of the staff were friendly, which helped make the experience pleasant.

Came here for dinner and was stunned by how beautiful the hotel and restaurant is. Our server was amazing and explained everything really nicely. We got the ricotta appetizer which was okay, I’d like to try others next time but the entrees were INCREDIBLE. The duck and sole were ordered and blew me away. I’ve had duck over 30x in my life and this was top two. It was also nice watching the sunset as we dined. Although it is a higher price point and the entrees are on the smaller side you could tell a lot of work goes into the dishes and I would 100 percent come back here. It’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in all of Disney!
