Really great experience! This place wasn’t on my list for places to go in the neighborhood but tonight I was craving a burger. Everything was great, I got a patty melt, fries and cheesecake. The service was amazing as well, such friendly faces. I will be coming back when I can kick it on the front patio.

Really impressed with the food and service here! Came in at 8pm on a Wednesday night when they weren’t super busy. I was greeted by Jenny the bartender before sat down, and she quickly told me about their rotating draft before I could even ask I after ordering a beer she then explained about their double smash burger patties. I told her I had seen their chicken sammiches on the website and was leaning towards fried. She told about the options and I did the Dirty Bird. Rafael brought my sammich and fries out in exactly 4 minutes after I ordered and now I am finishing my fries while writing this review. Good chemistry between the staff and patrons. Quick to refill drinks and check in on customers. Highly recommended!

This place was quaint and gave a sense of home feel! The gentleman were all super patient and helpful! I asked a lot of questions and they accommodated my every request. The food was very good and well prepared. The curry fries and quinoa burger were my favorite. Definitely will visit again when I am there.

Lucky Buns is the place you have been looking for. You know, when you say ” boy, I could go for a cheeseburger,” well, this is where you must come. The menu is limited, but between the burger options and the chicken sandwiches, you will only need some fries to accompany your meal, as you will be stuffed.

The burgers are not small, not delicate, and sloppy as all heck, but WOW, they are super tasty.

If you like a burger, are in DC, and don’t need AC (their systems can’t keep up with anything over 85), look no further. There is a lovely outdoor patio if the weather is agreeable.

Had a great meal at Lucky Buns. Was walking a distance (8 minutes) from the Hilton and the Bogin Burger, Fries dipped in cheese sauce and a draft beer was excellent. You must come try this local jewel.
I don’t know why it hasn’t been on Dinners Drive In’s and Dives

Came for a date night. We loved everything except the onion rings which are new to the menu (batter too thick, not crispy enough). The fries were piping hot and absolutely wonderful with the salted vinegar mayo. The Mumbo Bun was a flavor bomb of deliciousness.

After 3 days in town I’ve been here twice, that’s how good it is! The first time we the Bogun Bun, Mumbo bun, and Chopped Cheese sandwich. It was our first night in town and this was our first taste of mumbo sauce – we loved it! The mumbo makes a delicious spicy/sweet chicken sandwich and the slaw is a great flavor combo. However, the real star was the bacon jam on the Bogan, it was very good and overall that bun had a fantastic blend of flavors. The chopped cheese sandwich was like a spin on a Philly cheesesteak, it was good, but not as good as the other two.

The second time we had the Mumbo Nugs and the El Jefe bun. The nugs were very good, the blend of flavors with the sauce, peanuts and peppers, topped with cilantro and mint, all together made a very delicious bite. The El Jefe was good, but nothing dramatically different than other similar burgers we’ve had before.

Both times the service was great. The second time we had the pup so sat on the patio and they automatically brought him a small water bowl which I appreciate.

I been on the hunt for the best burger spots in DC and I think I just found it! The burgers were sooo good! They were Juicy, quality meat and a decent size! The Cajun fries were also really good and they are shareable.

I got the mumbo bun chicken sandwich and from the first bite it was incredible tasty! The chicken on the sandwich was quite delicious & juicy but the sauces that go on top added a boatload of flavor. There was a tangy coleslaw that added texture & flavor too. The fries were $8 which is pricey but they were good. Overall I was very pleased with this meal and I’ll definitely be back’
