I ordered a chicken enchilada with a beef taco and they are both delicious. The chips and salsa come free with every order I think. The salsa was spicy just how I like it and the pico or slaw that they have has a good kick of spice to it. I hate a bland flavorless salsa but this place never disappoints me. Their food is delicious and hot when you arrive to pick up and it’s good portion sizes. I did pay $20-$30 for my meal but I added on queso. The meal is worth every penny and the people are friendly. I love this place. Thanks for all of your hard work.

This was our first time into this town and we found this restaurant to eat at. We had high expectations and when we walked in, we were warmly greeted.
But the food, I feel like I just set my cash on fire. We ate a few bites, but that was it.The Taco Salad had a huge unchopped tomato with a ton of sharp cheddar cheese. The cheese was over bearing on any other taste. I’ve never seen any other restaurant use that type of cheese on a Taco Salad.
We also ordered a Don Juan lunch special, it looked visually good, but the bite tasted as if it didn’t match the plate. The best way to describe it is if you went to a fast food restaurant where they cooked all the same food together and never changed the oil. There was something off.
There might have been some saving grace if we were asked if everything tasted okay, but the server saw both our plates nearly untouched and assumed everything was fine.
I’m usually forgiving; but after spending nearly $40 after tip – I feel unsatisfied with my visit.
However, I will acknowledge plenty of great reviews – this place seems popular. However, it just wasn’t a hit for us.

The food was wonderful, and the margarita flight was fun, but too syrupy sweet or watered down. The waiter was…a little much… started calling me baby, then quickly told my boyfriend in Spanish that nothing was happening… all around odd. I’m not a prude so the nickname didn’t bother me, but the potential insinuation bothered us both.
All in all, we’d go back, just in a new section…

Really good food and friendly atmosphere. I ordered a chicken fajita and beef chimichanga lunch special to go and they gave me huge portions of food, including a large bag of chips with salsa. Will definitely be returning if I’m in the area.

Azteca Family Mexican Restaurant in Gastonia never disappoints! There’s a reason they’ve been in business for over 20 years — they are clearly doing things right.
The food was absolutely phenomenal — fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Every dish at our table was spot-on and full of authentic taste. Get the skirt steak!!!!
Our server, Junior, made the experience even better. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Excellent service all around.

We came on Christmas Eve. Azteca was one of the few restaurants open in the area. I’m so glad because we typically avoid Mexican restaurants in NC – just not our style of Mexican food. This place has delicious food! Salsa was great,, both red and green. We ordered the Flor de Azalea plate to share. It had both shrimp & carne asada. Everything was cooked and seasoned well -no overcooked proteins! Jesus provided excellent service, checking in frequently. Overall, it was a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner! Merry Christmas, Azteca!

Best ever! Oh magnificent…!! I was in town to wrestling for AWS wrestling at the local VFW..need a late lunch..oh my. What a plate!
