We visited this diner for lunch expecting a good meal, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. After being seated, our server took our drink order and then was gone for about 20–30 minutes before returning to take our food order. We then waited nearly another hour for our meals to arrive.
When the food was brought out, part of one meal was accidentally dropped onto the table. Although the item was eventually replaced, the server commented that it was “a good thing it didn’t fall on the floor” and suggested my husband could still eat it from the table. Even though it was later replaced, the comment itself felt unsanitary and unprofessional and made the situation uncomfortable.
By that time, our drinks had gone flat because the ice had melted, and getting refills was also a challenge. The food quality itself was underwhelming. My French dip sandwich was dry, and afterward I felt a bit queasy. My daughter mentioned that the pineapple on her plate tasted off, and our youngest child received a kids’ burger that was extremely large and not very appealing to her taste.
Overall, the long wait times, service issues, and food quality made this a disappointing visit. I would rate our experience one star. A few items were acceptable, but the overall service and handling of the situation did not meet expectations.

American Table serves all three meals, and breakfast is available all day. Wide variety of food choices. Southwest food, pasta, sandwiches, salads, plus standard Midwest fare.
My husband’s favorite meal is the haystack. I tried the breakfast tacos yesterday – delicious! We went a little after 11 on a Saturday morning. They weren’t packed, but they were busy; and we had our food in no time. Food was hot and fresh. Didn’t taste like something that had been sitting in a warmer. Server was efficient and friendly. Two very full breakfast plates plus coffee for both was $27.00.
The stuffed pepper soup is my favorite lunch item.

Patty melt, perfectly grilled sourdough bread, melted creamy American cheese, lettuce tomato onion and pickles thousand island dressing… melted together for an awesome flavorful sandwich
Fries are hot crispy and seasoned just right
Pizza Burger melty cheese combined perfectly with just enough pizza sauce for a wonderful taste
Drinks refills brought before the glass was even half empty on the one before…
Our waitress did an awesome job making us feel welcomed and appreciated…
Prices match with quality and quantity of foods here, we spent $20 between the two of us… definitely will be going back soon!

In a fast paced world where pulling your car through a drive thru to grab a burger and fries is the norm this place is a breath of fresh air. It kind of takes you back to the days of old where sitting down in a diner and ordering a home cooked style meal was something everyone did regularly. The food is great, the portion sizes are huge, the customer service is awesome and the prices are fantastic. I have zero complaints. With a menu the size of the one that American Table has there is something for everyone (from pasta, to steak, to catfish, to chicken wraps, to salads, to burgers and fries). If you’re a breaded tenderloin fan you’ve gotta try the one here!

We love American Table! It is very reasonably priced, you receive very large portions (we always have a full meal of leftovers from each order). The staff is usually friendly and attentive. Very calm, family-friendly atmosphere.

This is a great place in Washington. It has been many different restaurants over the years but I believe this one will have some staying power. It was very well staffed with friendly people and the food was great. Service was fast and the property was clean. My only suggestion for improvement is to not have cable news on the big television.
